I say yea.  Perhaps replace launchzone with it?

Replace launchzone and impact2 with mercy imo.

As much as I enjoy it, it might be helpful to remove canalzone.  Lately it's been killing the server in the evenings.

anyone who doesnt want to spend 2 mins dling the maps probably should be on a nocustom server, we need to stop pulling good maps from rotation just because people are impatient

canalzone is not a good map


i have yet to see it not finish off the server, even if a lot of people do end up staying for the download b/c they were asked, by the time everyone finally gets in the server the place is so empty that playing canalzone is about as empty and retarded as 4-man granary/badlands

Are you fucking shitting me?  I finally saw basalt for the first time.  That piece of shit is on rotation?  It's a fucking hill with a cp on it.  That's it.  What the hell? 

Also we shouldn't have any koth maps on rotation until we have round limits.  Which we really desperately need in general.  Maps are rtv'ed off of about 70% of the time just because of that.  And then stupid stuff ends up happening where we rtv to a map which then shows up on rotation the after the next map.

Have you EVER seen one not be rtv'ed off of?  Nobody wants to play koth 7 times in a row before the map changes.

I like how everyone but about three of us despises KotH... and Arena for that matter. Hell, a lot of people just hate customs, which are probably the same guys who support the Dustbowl/Badwater/Goldrush rotation idea...

I say screw them. Put either viaduct, harvest or nucleus back on. Preferably KotH so people have less crap to complain about.

The problem has always been two fold IMO, one is that if you seed on Dustbowl/Badwater/Goldrush, and then go to a custom, you're going to lose a bunch of people instantly, and be left with the same empty server. If  you see on something like Frontier/Cashworks/Freight, people will stick around for a map they don't have since that's just how the two different crowds operate.

I did remove canal zone from rotation, even though I love it  Undecided

Basalt is a fairly simple map and not a huge download, if you have an alternate that's custom let me know. I'd like to have the rotation be something other than CP->PL->CTF rinse and repeat. I want to have a few monkey wrenches thrown in there.
