It really is easier to find than to go out and buy obscure house cleaning products and cold medicine together.
Pharmacies don't sell more than 2 boxes of cold medicine at a time around here cause of the meth making.
Edit: did you see how much cold meds he put in that solution to extract the pseudoephedrine? You need like 20 boxes of medicine for the smallest amount of meth.

[/quote]You can't buy more than 3g of pseudoephedrine (sudafed) at a time anywhere in the US now, 9g total per month. And you have to be an adult and show ID. Some states have made medications containing it prescription-only, to make them easier to control, but it's behind the counter and restricted just about everywhere now.
Nevermind the fact that most of the raw materials for manufacturing meth (including pseudoephedrine in bulk form) come from mexico, let's control the shit out of it in the US to give everyone the illusion of safety! And make life miserable for mothers with multiple children!

God that bit was so bizarre, do you think it was scripted, or it just sort of happened and he just went with it? I mean, it was a pretty big part of that episode, but it just seems so completely and utterly random that I can't imagine it was intentional from the get-go
