And for those curious of buying it, looks like Amazon has it ten bucks off.

Re: Red Dead Redemption - Professor Funbucks - 05-22-2010

So I played this at my friend's place for a bit. He had just gotten the game so we installed it/started playing it and we got like 5-10 minutes in, we followed some old guy, got fucking handcannoned in the shoulder and left for dead. we had to go to a party right after that so my impression is that it is a very nice looking game to get shot in.

This game is awesome.

Period.

I've never had more fun with a rockstar game.

From what I've read, RDR has some issues on the PS3, some of which can be fixed by changing the PS3 settings from 1080 to...720 or whatever is.  Helps with performance, though I'm guessing on big screens that quality might not be as good.

*EDIT*
And just when you think the game has come to an end, it continues in a way I didn't expect lol

Re: Red Dead Redemption - Turtle - 05-23-2010

Just got this and I really like it. It's kinda of like GTA4 only they focus more on the shooting aspect and less on the driving (er riding, whatever).

Re: Red Dead Redemption - Darklink - 05-23-2010

i might get it im still addicted to gay tony ps3 tho

Re: Red Dead Redemption - Turtle - 05-24-2010

I'm up to...5 or 6 I think. Cougars are hard to melee lol Got me the Buffalo Rifle though.  That thing is beastly.

[/quote]The cougars are easy, you just got to dodge their attack, get them to turn against the wall and crowd him.

Compared to knifing cougars, the other half of the hunter's path is much harder, and much more intense. I'd like to see you take down Lobo or Gordo.

Re: Red Dead Redemption - Ianki - 05-25-2010

Re: Red Dead Redemption - Squishy3 - 05-25-2010

The Outstanding Gunslinger-Dog!

this game is so good, just because the glitches are hilarious. Invisible horses? Donkey Lady? Cougar man? Count me in!

"This isn't a mistake. There used to actually be invisible horses in the Wild West. Everyone knows that, idiot."

I love you, youtube

Re: Red Dead Redemption - Maxon - 05-26-2010

Some unique marketing for Red Dead Redemption that should do it some good.  Apparently they used the game and made a 30 minute machinima movie out of it.

Will be on Fox this Saturday.  Should be good and it was directed by the guy that did The Road which stayed pretty true to the book.

Re: Red Dead Redemption - Wyrmidon - 05-28-2010

How is the music in the game? I'll be pretty disappointed if it has bad music, because of its western setting.

Fits with the game pretty well.  Nothing very epic, but you can make custom soundtracks, so you could totally just listen to The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly soundtrack lol
