All this smash talk makes me want to organize a brbu smash tourney...

Ummm.... Isn't it basically unplayable online though? Last time I played smash online I could finish 2 beers in the time it took for a match to start, and it lagged so frequently I could finish another beer during each lag spike.
[/quote]
seriously.

It either a)lagged enough to be less fun than watching cement dry, b)Had the slightest amount of lag that recieved every move you made about a second late, or c) couldn't connect at all.

Very disappointing online D:

Re: I owe that + SSBB! - copulatingduck - 10-27-2008

Don't think torrents would affect your ping. Just your rates, and likewise your choke and loss.

Can we just DoS each other? That would totally do the trick.

Re: I owe that + SSBB! - Honest - 10-27-2008

Torrents fuck with me, but that's because of my shit router that likes to spaz out.

Re: I owe that + SSBB! - ScottyGrayskull - 10-27-2008

Sorry Benito, but since this is a 5 page thread with 4 pages pretty much just about SSBB, I had to move it to the 'appropriate' board. Smile

It would be an 'on your own time' sort of thing. I set a deadline date for matches to be done by and people do them at your own leisure.

How would the following rules look to people...

Rules:
- Best of 3 matches
- First and second matches each person can pick the stage of their choice, ANY stage
- Stock of 3
- No items (unless agreed upon by both people)
- Third round default is Final Destination, unless both players can agree on an alternate stage
- Too bad so sad if you get lag, work through/around it, you may cancel/retry a round ONCE and only once due to lag and it must be before 2 stock are taken away total (ie, you die twice, or you die once and your opponent dies once). If you get lag after canceling once too bad, if you leave or lag out its a forfeit on your part.
- One character for the whole tourney - pick what you want to play at to start and carry it through the whole way, the reason for this being if you know one character is particularly good against a certain other one, or you play against them well. Other neat alternative would be each person to have 'random' selected each time  Tongue

Please, please, please strictly enforce deadlines. It'd really suck to have another tourney that starts off so great but winds up petering out.

I'd be totally down, but I have to pick a character.  I usually play random.  Unfortunately I don't really have a favorite.

Oh yes, there would be deadlines, failure to play would mean forfeit for one or both people. Of course to forfeit one person, you would need to provide me with email or chat logs basically proving you gave them a ton of different times to play but were unable to find a solution.

Wait is this in Brawl or the 64 ROM? I used to play it a lot back with Andrex in the hay day before Brawl. Worked out pretty well and the lag wasn't bad at all. Plus you could access all the beta menu maps, like N64 Final Destination or Race to the Finish.

Also Stock = Tongue I checked on my record in Brawl and I only have to matches played with it, and all the rest Time :3
