Re: Dead Rising 2 - Maxon - 09-01-2010

Yeah I probably won't play too much more myself since I maxed my guy out, though I still want to find out if I can find if there is anything the cone and chainsaw can connect to in the prequel lol

Re: Dead Rising 2 - Maxon - 09-02-2010

Having done a few more playthroughs, I gotta say there are alot more subtle changes I like about the game in comparison to the first game.

First is that the zombies seem much more aware.  There are some zombies who can see you from twice as far, and nearly run after you, though the overall thing seems to be that they pay more attention to you and might possibly react to sound.  At least to me, some zombies, at a distance they shouldn't come after me, turned towards my direction to see what was up, because I was causing noise.

Also some weapons are definitely changed around.  Having played the first games, some lifesavers like the nightstick and knives are much less...overpowered I guess.  Before you could take a knife and cut a swatch of death through groups, downing them fast.  Save for the nightstick which was a very good crowd clearer.  Definitely not now.  Some weapons that might've been iffy before, like the sword, which was alright before, seems a little stronger and more well rounded.  I find myself using it alot more than before.

Thank the lord survivors are better.  Survivors were such a pain in the ass before.  They were slow, they never kept up with you, they got caught easily, and if you had to carry anyone, it was a chore.  Barely worth the time and reward.  Now if your carrying someone, you'll bump zombies out of the way, of course if you get into the thick of them, your in trouble, but just steer for open areas and your fine.  They get caught much less to. That right there makes it so much better.  God bless them for doing this lol

I'm working for ending 4 now.  I'm guessing there is 6, since I've gotten A, D, and F, F being the worst.

There's technically 6, but the 6th one is only a variation of F and it only changes if you're in the safehouse or outside the safehouse when time runs out.

It was like this in the first game. A guy on SA abused the hell out of this doing a Survivor Run LP.

Re: Dead Rising 2 - Maxon - 09-02-2010

I remember carrying people being much more annoying, but I could be wrong I guess. And finally I got all the survivors and the best main opening all in one run. Saw the alternate F one also and kinda surprised they didn't show Zombie Katie in some way, though in the main game, you can whack lesbians with a dildo...err...I mean "massager" lol

Re: Dead Rising 2 - Squishy3 - 09-04-2010

Maxon, the cone hat is combined with the paint spray gun thing, I don't know exactly where it is, my friend just told me about it today. He said it's near where you find the sniper rifle.

Oh the spray can on the roof.  I didn't realize that was combinable.  Well now that is solved, I still need to find the paddle lol

*EDIT*
lol The cone and paint can turn into an airhorn which causes zombies heads to explode when you keep it going on them XD

I've looked like everywhere for it, especially that place and the hunting store, but I didn't spot it.  I could be wrong and it is there, but for the life of me, I just couldn't find it.

Hrmm...That would put it in either the little park spot by the van or next to the police station.  I shall search for it!

Re: Dead Rising 2 - Luca Shoal - 09-04-2010

Next to the station.

Re: Dead Rising 2 - Maxon - 09-04-2010

Yeah it is actually next to the first building on that side, right next to it by the right wall.  Can't believe I missed it so easily, but it kinda blends in if you don't get close enough to it.  So now I have all the combo weapons and can bring them right into DR2 Big Grin Great way to get people excited for the game and rewarding them also.

People are like "hurr durr paid demo" but I think this is absolutely worth 5 bucks

Re: Dead Rising 2 - Maxon - 09-04-2010

For 5 bucks, I've put in more than 6 hours into a singleplayer game.  I liked this one review that said they put more time into a better and more fulfilling prequel than they ever did for the 4 hour Kane & Lynch 2 which is a full priced game packed with the same multiplayer it had in 2007 lol

Re: Dead Rising 2 - backfire - 09-15-2010

So I may be getting this from someone on the PC... is anyone else planning on it? I'm curious how the coop's gunna work but wondering if I'll actually have anyone who'd rather get it on PC than on xbawx

Re: Dead Rising 2 - Squishy3 - 09-15-2010

it was just not leaked for pc

Re: Dead Rising 2 - Maxon - 09-15-2010

360 for me cause I have a buddy or two that will hopefully get it for the co-op.
