Mmm delicious sushi.

But, I love anything with peanut sauce... Also Nasi, something my parents introduced me to from Holland. I could really go for some of that right now.... with peanut sauce.

Yep, we love our peanut sauce here but we stole it from the indonesians though...

Do you have a good pizza dough recipe?  All mine are a pain in the ass to work out into the right diameter, and then never quite get crispy enough in the center (even with pizza stone).

Re: Favorite food/recipes - Smartie - 06-29-2008

umm.....not really....

Pillsburry canister pizza dough works fine.

Otherwise we normally make our dough in the bread maker.

I can look around for you, but yeah.....most pizza doughs are hard to spread....but if you want it bigger, you gennerally have to make more.

I made arepas for the first time.  I used the wrong cornmeal and deep fried them (my wife was using the oven) and they still turned out amazing!  They are super easy to make and I'd recommend them.  Here's the recipe I used:

I cut em in half and put in spicy italian sausage and gouda cheese.  They were great.  But a little oily.  From now on I'm going to do the saute/bake thing.

Have you tried Trader Joe's?  They sell fresh balls of regular, wheat, and herbed pizza dough for around $1.30 each.  One of them makes a nice little 10" pizza with the small stone I have, and two would handle anything bigger.  Make great breadsticks and stuff too.  I'm way too lazy to ever try to make dough by hand...

Re: Favorite food/recipes - Wedge - 11-16-2008

Oh and this is my favourite thing to make when I don't have to make food for myself and my boyfriend.

My wife had one for whole wheat that was really good.  Also the tips she read to make it crispy are to coat the bottom with corn meal and to let it sit with all the ingredients for like 5-10 min before cooking.

Re: Favorite food/recipes - Chaosye - 09-08-2009

I remember when me and my bro made the Thermonuclear Cowsplosion pizza
Had 4 layers of cheese, which consisted of mozzarella, and one other that I can't remember, parmesan I think
5 habaneros that were cut and spread across the pizza
2 cloves of garlic
vodka sauce
4 sausages that got cut into pieces
canadian ham
some spicy italian meat that was cut in slices that started with a p but wasnt pepperoni

There were a couple more ingredients, but I can't remember them
But it was awesome

also spicy

Re: Favorite food/recipes - Surf314 - 09-08-2009

I don't even know if Jesus could handle that pizza.
