Until they remove the cooldown and mana cost on Cho Gath's ultimate, I dont think this game is worth playing

come play dota, cho'gath's ult is a passive on tiny and doesn't require you to kill an enemy. he loses attack speed but gains in damage and movement speed

But then you're missing the point of Cho's Ult.

But Tiny also doesn't have a built in boombox.  Battlecast Cho is the only way to Cho.

Re: League of Legends - k0ala - 06-03-2013

I'm at work but yeah hit me up about this, I want to learn where I can at least trust the people who are shitting on my playstyle.

Re: League of Legends - kaese - 11-16-2013

I have a tennifriend who loves playing this so I took the plunge and tried it out since Dota 2 was fun but I had no idea what the fuck was going on. I learned the basics and got a better idea of mobas now so I might go back and try Dota 2 again.
I can just see that this game is going to be a giant time sink if I ever want to play at a higher level (literally and figuratively).

Re: League of Legends - spm201 - 11-16-2013

Playing again for the first time since Season 2. Last champions I remember coming out were Xerath, Graves and Fizz, if that gives you a reference. Any major changes to the game?

Every new hero released is the same so you only have to learn one new one.

As someone who's actually taken the time to play LoL and reach level 30 instead of aimlessly bash it, you couldn't be more wrong.

Also cosmetic skins of hawt anime girlzz = money from horny nerds. Did you really expect anything else?

But in all seriousness, I can't fucking stand this game, but only because of the raging boners of the plebeian scrubs who constantly drool over this game. And god forbid you have a bad game in a non-ranked match and some 14 year old decides to go off on your for being a "noob". Gameplay-wise, I actually prefer it to DotA. Instead of teams just getting shit-rolled, the cap at level 16 (or 18 or whatever it is) allows more chance for comebacks for a team that gets their shit together. But I guess that's a problem for you hardcore-srs-tryhards who don't play the game because it's "too easy".

Quote: An observation that can be made is that a First Blood in Korea leads to almost the same win rate as the first Baron takedown in NA. Another interesting fact is that in all of NA and EU LCS (224+ games), there has never been a surrender vote before an inhibitor has died. However, in the just 36 games of Korea OGN summer there have been four surrenders before inhibitors were destroyed. Koreans are not just confident in their ability to snowball a lead, but they count on it!

cant find statistics for dota atm, but i recall it being a lot lower than these rates. lol is a lot more snowball-y than dota by a longshot

Re: League of Legends - Duck, Duck, Goose - 11-17-2013

Those are competitive stats though, where there is generally less room for error... so typically yeah, the team that wins the races to the objectives ends up winning the game. But honestly, the only high numbers on those charts are late game objectives... which are pretty essential to determining the winner of the game anyways (especially in the case of non-snowballing games, where the slightest edge wins). I would actually like to see the data, because I could swear the win rate for first blood/tower in DotA is relatively higher.

Re: League of Legends - zaneyard - 11-17-2013

yeah you couldn't be more wrong. The nature of league is that snowballs rarely stop rolling. Dota is so much more fun to watch and play because the game is never won until the ancient dies. I spent just as much time playing league before i switched to dota. I was competitive in league before i quit because every week riot dropped a new hero that was OP for a week until they nerfed it. I'm not even going to go into how much a piece of shit pendragon is as a dev and a person.
