Doctors aren't sure whether its caused by the current (experimental) cancer treatment directly or possibly just a side effect of reabsorbing the dead tissue from the brain tumors they hit with radiation a little while back, but it's some scary shit. His vitals were fine when he went to the hospital, and they didn't see anything wrong with his brain when they did a CT and an MRI, so they released him and he's home now.

On a sad but amusing note, the anti-seizure meds they have him on are causing him to slur his speech. Which makes him sound like a stroke patient (or a drunk), which isn't cool, but makes his NY accent pop out a little more, which I find hilarious. He hasn't lived there in 30+ years.

Sorry to hear that dude, you can only hope for the best and try and cheer him up by staying upbeat about it.

my arch-nemesis, was first put on active duty orders, in Panama City, for the oil spill, now he's been sent to Iraq as an Infantry platoon leader.  My jealousy pales only in comparison to my rage.

I restart my 9-510-6 as an HR clerk tomorrow.  FML.

I just now have hit the point where I wish there was more time in the day. On the plus side I have an outline for one class and it's smexy on my wiki.

I purchased a Netbook so I could start coursework in my online classes since my ailing desktop can't seem to get it goin. My netbook arrives and after a few hours of use the right side of the screen blacks or greys out....FUUUUCCCCCK

Mine had the same problem. It was fixed under warranty.

I've used MegaBus a number of times, and was fucking ON a MegaBus from Montreal to Toronto at the same time that this accident happened.  My gf now lives in Montreal (moved there last week), and I had planned to go a couple times a month to visit her.  Man, this makes that a little harder to follow through with now. Fuuuuuuuuuck.

Re: The "Fuck my life" thread - A. Crow - 09-15-2010

I once again work in Human Resources.

I started attacking the stack of paperwork today.  Not too long into it, I started noticing paperwork I myself had signed off on 1.5 years ago and had yet to be filed.

FML.

well you won't have to worry about that bridge or that driver, so I think you're fine.

I can't even comprehend that. That would be so anger-inducing I would staple my boss's head to rug and quit.

Re: The "Fuck my life" thread - KorJax - 09-16-2010

Paperwork reguarding what exactly? Does it matter that it needs to be filed?

I guess it just doesn't seem that significant without knowing much about the context

I'd just love to see the face of <insert just about anyone here> when you try to 'quit' the military.

Also, you know those little glittery stars you can get all over your vision at times, normally preceded by extreme exertion?

I'm getting those for 30s-1m at a time while doing nothing, sorta often recently. I AM DYING OH GOD.

Also could be floaters - literally just specs in your eye goop. They are harmless but you should still see a doctor to make sure what they are.

Re: The "Fuck my life" thread - A. Crow - 09-19-2010

So, as I discovered last night, a girl can exert herself so much during sex, that by the time she makes it to the shower, she passes out.

At least the good people at the ER thought it was funny...
