Azure Angel: Stunt Double Understudy?

Glad to see you're alright <3

Re: The "Fuck my life" thread - A. Crow - 01-21-2013

Glad you're alright.  Actually it looks pretty good for rolling it that many times.  What kind of car did it used to be?

Re: The "Fuck my life" thread - Azure_Angel - 01-21-2013

It rolled along the hood, to the amazement of my friends driving behind me. It's funny you say that Kor, the first thing I said to my friend was if she got that on camera. It used to be an '09 Civic DX. I would not hesitate to buy another one.

Re: The "Fuck my life" thread - Didzo - 01-21-2013

Really glad that you got out of there alive and in one piece. :-X

I'm amazed I did. The medics that were on scene said I was the least damaged person they've seen from an accident like this.

Old loan got sold to collections agencies who never updated my address. Hell-llooo wage garnishment.
Edit:

I just called the boss and told him I couldn't deal with today. He understood.

Re: The "Fuck my life" thread - zaneyard - 01-22-2013

Poor thing. Mines hiding all alone in the cold in the corner of my garage.

Re: The "Fuck my life" thread - k0ala - 01-22-2013

It's cool. I picked the motherfucker back up by myself. I gotta use hand signals for the next couple paychecks but it could be worse.

Re: The "Fuck my life" thread - A. Crow - 01-25-2013

lol... laughable series of events revolving around trying to get my student loan payment sent:

So, I write the check, put the payment stub and check in the included envelope, seal envelope.
Move on to car payment, write the check, put in envelope, seal, "wait, did I put 2012 for the date on that other one?"
Open student loan envelope, "well, I'll have to tape it."  void that check, write new check, "wait, did I write DEC on that other one?"
Open car payment envelope, "I'll have to tape this one too."  void that check, write new check.
"where the fuck did my tape go?"
Scour the apartment for 15 minutes, stop to interrogate the cats on where the hell they hid the tape dispenser, but cats are resilient against verbal interrogation.
"fuck it, I'll go get more tape, I can deposit this other check along the way."
Scour the apartment for 15 minutes looking for my gloves.  They have fur on the inside- cats had hidden one under the kitchen table.  The other was in the bathtub.
Fucking cats.
Go to walmart, acquire tape, deposit check, return home, tape envelopes walk outside- OUCH.
I have successfully slipped on ice and am now laying on my back in the parking area.  On the way down I messed up the student loan envelop pretty bad, along with both hands and my back.
Fuck it.
Shove them in the outbox, open my mailbox, acquire mail, walk inside, tear open the one from the department of education

Re: The "Fuck my life" thread - rumsfald - 01-25-2013

are you not using USAA yet?

online banking, automatic payments, remote deposits (SASEs or first-in-nation deposit check by iphone app), insurance and credit cards (cheaper rates, auto-pay built in), best telephone customer service (people actually pick up the phone in the first 2 minutes, the first person you get solves 90% of issues), mobile alerts, multifactor authorization

even if the place you are paying your bills to doesn't accept electronic transfers, you can schedule USAA to mail them a check every month.

I highly suggest using your local Federal Credit Union.  Not only is the above true, but the fees are better, too.  [/shameless plug]

I'm telling you, the only part of that Fifth Third doesn't do is the check deposit by phone, and I get about 3 paper checks per year.  I've got some exceptional fucking service out of them, because they don't want me to move to USAA.

That report you get at the end of the year on all your credit charges from USAA?  I get the same thing from Fifth Third.
No ATM charges?  Fifth Third Military Banking.
Autobill pay?  they do it, I don't use it.
Excellent Customer Service?  One of their reps went looking through every statement I've gotten in the past 2 years to find the charge I had with a certain retailer, then supplied me with the proof I needed to ram it down that retailer's throat.  That call took 10 minutes.

USAA is the king of insurance though.
also investments

TF2 is no longer playable on my netbook.

It became an slow, old, bloated fuck who has seen every one of its dreams die.

my credit union website allows me to send checks straight from my account. I suggest doing that instead of actually writing checks like you're in the 1200s still.

Re: The "Fuck my life" thread - rumsfald - 01-26-2013

how do your random un-named credit unions and your 5/3rd bank compare to this?

Quote:USAA has consistently received the highest customer service ratings available to financial services companies, including those not in its niche. For its highly rated customer service, in 2002 JD Power awarded USAA with its Chairman's Award,[42] which at that time had been awarded to ten companies, none of them in the financial services arena. Since then, USAA has remained at the top of the JD Power ratings for auto insurance[43][44][45] home insurance,[46] mortgages,[47] and home equity loans.[48]

In its March 5, 2007 issue, BusinessWeek[49] ranked USAA first in its list[50] of "Customer Service Champs", a list of 25 national businesses that included the Four Seasons Hotels, Lexus and Starbucks. USAA repeated as first on BusinessWeek's list in its' March 3, 2008, issue.[51]

A 2007 Forrester Research report referenced in the San Antonio Express-News on June 27, 2007,[52] identified USAA as the leader in customer advocacy based on a customer survey. Eighty-eight percent of the USAA customers surveyed said "My financial provider does what's best for me, not just its own bottom line." No other company evaluated scored higher than 78%. USAA retained the top spot on Forrester Research's study in 2008[53] and 2009.[54]

In its May 2009 issue, Consumer Reports named USAA's brokerage division as the top rated discount brokerage service in the United States.[55]
In a survey of 145 companies conducted by Zogby International, USAA ranked #1 in customer service out of 145 American companies, and was subsequently awarded first place in the 2009 MSN Money Customer Service Hall of Fame.[56]

I've honestly been seriously considering it myself as I would be grandfathered in (literally) grandfather.
