Finally watched through FMA: Brotherhood.

What's different about it from the original? Is it a continuation or a reboot or an entirely separate story arc or what?
Less dark, faster pacing, and better character development.
Lol it's still hella dark. Even though I knew everything that was going to happen up to the point where it splits off, it still gets me sad.
Mommy, why are they putting Daddy in the ground? He has very important work to do! Why, Mommy, why? ;_;
I remember watching that episode for the first time ages ago. It's what pulled me into the series.

That episode :'(

Re: The official Anime quarantine thread! - Squishy3 - 10-02-2011

That part was sad, but not anywhere near as developed as the other one.
Especially since Hughes was a more developed character, and just all-around nice guy. Which makes it even worse. I was also mad in the original series when Ed went through the gate into Nazi Germany and Hughes was a Nazi. Sad
I've never seen the original series. I think I may have to just because of this.
Yeah. It's pretty awesome. All of the original series is on Netflix. The TWEEST about the alternate world is pretty good, I think. I like Envy a lot in the original series, as he's just really badass in general in it, whereas he's BA in Brotherhood but not anything like in the original, and shit goes down with him in the final episode.

also holy shit One Piece was so good. I hate that almost nobody else I know is a fan of this. There's literally only 2 or 3 people I know who like it, and I know them IRL.

One piece rocks. It's one of the few anime that I don't mind their filler arcs, as they're still fun.

Though it does suffer from Green Lantern syndrome with Robin.

Ya know one thing that I found really odd in Brotherhood and have no idea what episode it was. I think during the final 10 or so episodes
during the assault on Central
there was a quick shot of three kids that looked very similar to Ed, Al, and Winry looking out the window at some explosion. I think this was an after-credits bit since a friend who just finished it didn't catch it, but I'm curious what that was about.

Re: The official Anime quarantine thread! - Wyrmidon - 10-27-2011

Finally got around to finishing Steins;Gate. The ending was great. I have nothing bad to say about it.

I guess it's time for me to start watching Mirai Nikki and the Persona 4 anime.

Re: The official Anime quarantine thread! - Squishy3 - 10-31-2011
