NEEDS MOAR RAM.

Also, you could probably shave some case on both the CPU and MoBo by going for an AMD processor without much of a decrease in performance.

I don't really have any of those problems. But their memory controller isn't as good so you have to make sure you buy RAM that works best with AMD.

Re: Any recommendations for my future gaming rig? - KarthXLR - 02-14-2010

I think I'll stick with Intel just because they've earned my trust so far. I'm not planning on overclocking either. (Lol I'm even considering if my dad would let me. He doesn't trust overclocking in the slightest.)

Re: Any recommendations for my future gaming rig? - KarthXLR - 02-14-2010

Also, should I spend some money on a nice sound card, or will my stock one be fine?

Re: Any recommendations for my future gaming rig? - Versus - 02-14-2010

$10 says dropdown searches on newegg for mobtherboards with specific CPU Slot/RAM Slot requirements.

Re: Any recommendations for my future gaming rig? - Versus - 02-14-2010

Re: Any recommendations for my future gaming rig? - Surf314 - 02-14-2010

My CPU temp tops out at 42C with TF2 running at max everything along with other programs running on my second screen.

No issues at all with it.
