Re: The E3 2010 Thread - Chief - 06-13-2010

Quad post, fuck yeah.

Anyways,
[Image: oe2-w800.jpg]
If this means I have to buy two controllers to play one game (considering that Wiimotes costs like $40-50 and the Dualshock 3 is $40), I'm not going to be too impressed and would probably not waste my money on it.

Re: The E3 2010 Thread - CaffeinePowered - 06-13-2010

PS Move - This changes everything nothing by continuing our strategy of blatantly copying everything Nintendo does  :p

Re: The E3 2010 Thread - Maxon - 06-13-2010

Not too mention the fact that the wands look like crap.  Big clunky black piece of plastic with a giant multi-colored ball on the top.  Don't think Natal or the Wii is any better, but it just looks awful compared to the wii-mote.  Since it looks like they are promoting it with two wands for things like this, I assume the setup will come with two.

Though if you want more or need a replacement, they better have the pricing pretty low.  Wii-Motes are already pretty crazy expensive.

Oh, as for what I'm looking forward to...There's nothing particularly I'm really wanting, just hoping to see some good announcements for the most part.  I will keep an eye out for Guitar Hero and Rock Band stuff for those that care and post about it here when I can.  Hoping for more setlist reveals and an indepth review and video of the new gear for Rock Band 3.

Re: The E3 2010 Thread - backfire - 06-13-2010

Well, myself who used to be a nintendo-fanboy, I'm liking the Move a lot more than the wiimote. I mean, seeing how it already does more than the wiimote does even with that addon thing.

I swear, the wiimote was a huge disapointment. Pretty much what you got extra inputs that were triggered by shaking the controller in various ways. I'd rather just use buttons. Only thing it's good for is pointing on the screen.

Uh, I would hope they could do better with a much greater processing capacity and being able to reverse engineer the wiimote after nintendo spent all the upfront costs developing it.

The Wiimote tends to work best in 1st/2nd party games because they actually put time/effort into making the mechanics original and fun, rather than many games where the shaking just replaces a button press.

10 bucks Retro Studios will be doing a Donkey Kong reboot. I don't need sources.

Good.  Better than more of those rhythm games.  Bring him back to platforming either 2D or go for Donkey Kong 64 2.  I had fun with that game...Well I had fun with alot of Rare games back then...Man...What happened, Rare?  :'(

Re: The E3 2010 Thread - Squishy3 - 06-13-2010

no section for valve? wasn't there supposed to be a surprise or something?

even if they just hire a bunch of strippers to dress up as pyros and unveil themselves to an audience, it would be forum worthy.

Oh and Natal is now officially called "Kinect"...Umm...Yeah...And all the games coming for it sound just as bad as they do on the Wii.

360 Slim is coming from the looks of it...Looks like they didn't do much unless the scale is different, but doesn't seem so.

There's been one since Wolverine was talked about.  Not sure if it's going anywhere at the moment.  I'm hoping Ryan Reynolds is still attached as Wade.  The two minutes he was him in Wolverine was good and I think he has that kind of timing to work for him.

As for the game, I might play this one.  Never played the originals, but the idea of Deadpool breaking the 4th wall with his attacks is hilarious lol

Bought by MS, staff did not want to work for MS, they all quit...

What is the point in buying a company when its main money producing mechanism is it's staff, and they all hate you...

...I mean...sure you get some IP, but what good is IP without a good staff to utilize it.
