So, what scripts do you people load to make tf2 even more enjoyable?

Re: Scripts - Surf314 - 04-15-2008

There was a "need a dispenser here" script that was fun until someone showed up at the dude's house and broke his keyboard over his head, we don' talk about him anymore.

I have the following scripts installed

Spy Attack + Auto last Disguise

Rocket Jump

Engineer Auto Wrench Hot Swap

Medic Auto Med Gun

Heavy Auto Spin

Pyro Auto Torch

Sniper TFC Style Zoom Out

Re: Scripts - Negate - 04-15-2008

I have a lot of keybinds like spy disguises and engineer buildings but the only script that I have and use is a duck jump script; and when I get my G5 I'll probably stop using that.

Re: Scripts - Surf314 - 04-15-2008

Sweet, maybe I should look into that.

I was just doin everything manual.

Re: Scripts - Tragic Hero - 04-15-2008

Why does Au Bon Pain not season their soups?  I swear they threw in every bean and vegetable they could into this soup and yet they decided to skip on the salt.

that's actually an option available in the settings, i forget which tab though Sad

Re: Scripts - exanimo - 04-15-2008

I heard that Au Bon Pain soup script is pretty great.

Also ... Scripts are for cheaters. Wink  (In my opinion)

Re: Scripts - Surf314 - 04-15-2008

It would probably be too hard for me on my laptop keyboard, I've already conditioned myself to know where all the keys I need are.  It'd be tough to have to start migrating all over the keyboard in a pinch.

Also if you see me spawn and then run in some weird direction or start spamming medic calls, its because I got my fingers in the wrong places.  This happens more than you'd think.

Hah.  It was a purposeful off-topic remark since I had nothing to contribute to this post.  Ill be good from now on...

how could there be anything wrong with this
alias win "+slayall, +god"
bind win "mouse1"

Sorry, I'm not a contortionist. Its nice to have things bound to multiple keys, doesn't help me aim better, just makes it easier to do the things you want to do.

Re: Scripts - Geoff - 04-15-2008

Have never really played around with scripts, but that melee hotkey script looks mighty fine for me and Spore's melee shenanigans.

Re: Scripts - Surf314 - 04-15-2008

Hmm I might do that mute one for when I dont use my headphones, so I can use my macbook mic.

Although honestly I know jack about that mic, it seems to have some sort of built in filter, because it is literally right next to the speaker.

I just bound "Need a dispenser here" to Z and periodically press it during gameplay. It has become such a habit I don't even notice I'm doing it as I approach people with my bat.

Re: Scripts - Fail Medic - 04-15-2008

Well, this is for movie-making, so it's prob off-topic.  I cheated off someone else's config that he showed off during a movie.

bind l "cl_drawhud 0"
bind k "cl_drawhud 1"

// Startmovie Master Key F12
bind f12 "strta"
alias strta "startmovie a_;bind f12 strtb"
alias strtb "startmovie b_;bind f12 strtc"
alias strtc "startmovie c_;bind f12 strtd"
alias strtd "startmovie d_;bind f12 strte" // ...wash, rinse, repeat to strtz.

// Terminate startmovie
bind f9 "endmovie"

// These are useful for controlling demo playback speed while demoui is hidden.
bind f1 "host_framerate .1" // fast forward
bind f2 "host_framerate 0" // Normal
bind f3 "host_framerate 30" // Weird
bind f5 "demo_togglepause"
bind f4 "host_framerate 120" // slow-mo

In gameplay, I really only mess with "duck toggle" and "crouch jump".  Crouch (duck) is on F.  Taunt is EFFING UNMAPPED  >Sad piece of treacherous crap!  Oh, I'm also thinking about binding something to "voice_enable 0" for necessary moments of solace from mic overload.
