Awesome obscure retro game thread - shoopfox - 04-09-2011

I'm wasted and replaying Jade Cocoon. This game is all sorts of awesome and it's bizarre Genki developed it considering they mostly make crappy racing games. It could just be the malt liquor but I swear one of the characters has Lionel Hutz's voice actor.

Anyone else have some little-known games they love?

Pathologic: Crazy as fuck Russian adventure game.  Kinda like if Albert Camus's The Plague was a video game.

I own a copy, it's around here, somewhere. I love the integration into the BR movie, events co-relate, characters.
It was one of the first games to run multiple story arcs, which change not only by your actions but by how long you take.

i dont think ducktales is that obscure but it owned hard.  then again i feel like most of the popularity came a long time after the actual release

Re: Awesome obscure retro game thread - chronomaster - 04-10-2011

I remember playing the Final Fantasy 8 demo.

Brave Fencer Musashi - Topo Dance Party

Still remember the first part to that sequence. Watching it makes me want to play Legend of Legaia again, though.

I wanna play it so so bad but I can't get it to run. It sounds like an awesome David Lynch-esque adventure game Sad
