International Candy Exchange-A-Ganza! - KarthXLR - 04-16-2011

That's right, international. You ever wonder how a coke tastes in China? How a Pepsi fizzes in Madagascar? How a bottle of Rum goes down in Brazil? Well too bad, this is about candy.

IN THIS CORNER, I HAVE A BOX FULL OF DELICIOUS NON-CHILEAN CANDY:
BATHE IN IT'S GLORY

It will soon be shipped on April 20th, on it's way to the ancient land of Jalapeno Chile.

Will the Chilean enjoy his Candy? Will the American get fat? Will Oriental Trading™ sponsor this? STAY TUNED.

Spoilers: Here's a picture of the inside of the box.

Re: International Candy Exchange-A-Ganza! - HeK - 05-04-2011

1.6kg of candy?

Re: International Candy Exchange-A-Ganza! - KarthXLR - 05-04-2011

Opened up the box as soon as I got home. Inside I found a note:
It reads:
Quote:Karf: I just happened to have 2 Kgs. of candy lying around, so I thought to myself:
"Wouldn't it be awesome if I sent this awesometacular lot of candy
to my friend Karth? Aww Yeah!"

Then some fun adventures happened, hence the color change, it involved some Pokemon and a fucker called Larvesta.

But anyway, hope you enjoy this awful lot of awesome Chilean Candy.

D'aawwwww

But then:

hahahaha you're a dead man

So, onto the candy! First up is this bag of candy called "Suny".

It sort of feels like candy corn, but it tastes nothing like it. It tastes almost like a combination of caramel, coconut, and some sort of cream.  It's definitely really strong on the caramel side; very very sweet.

Aside from the package looking like a Werther's throwing up, it looks like your average caramel candy. Or is it? The taste is what you'd expect, a nice caramel toffee, but then, you crack it in half, and there's CHOCOLATE ON THE INSIDE. Good chocolate too, with a really strong cocoa taste. It's good, but really sticky.

These are kind of weird. They look like a cheap cough drop, and when you first start sucking on it, it doesn't have much taste. But once you bite into it, it oozes amazing caramel. Oh god it's good.

These are essentially just some really sweet candy canes cut up into small pieces. They have some really cool stencils on them, and that's usually where all the flavor is. Took me about 10 minutes to finish a piece.

Your average candy raspberries. These ones are great, they're really soft and chewy.

And that about wraps it up. We ought to do this again vongore.  ;D

There's an american brand of these or something that is very similar. I don't remember what they're called but it's still really good.

They're not stenciled either. They start out as big fat logs of candy with different colored pieces to make the picture. Then they roooolllllll them into teeny tiny tubes. Neat stuff~

Your handwriting is about 5000x neater than mine, Vongore, and English profanity laced American is my native language.

God I suck.

Kirby, I bet yout handwriting is still nice than mine.  When I print, it looks like it was done by a 5 year old.

Oh, and I would totally be down for a candy exchange as well.  Collect some of Canada's delicious treats.
