Pre-Paid Data & SIM cards - HeK - 04-16-2013

What options are available in the US for pre-paid data and sim cards?

I was suggested Straight Talk. It looks good, however I cannot tell if you can buy the SIM cards at Walmart, or if only the payment cards.

Can anyone confirm the availability of Straight Talk cards, or suggest any other options?

Thanks!

I know they sell ATT go phone sim cards at walmart around here. I can make a visit and get the details for you if you like. I'm assuming this is for ACEN time?

Yep, for ACEN.

Looks like StraightTalk is now using TMobile. I may have to use AT&T prepaid, however they appear to be data restricted. Think I can use 1gb in a weekend, between five people in a car?

Is Revol an option? I don't even know if they do the pre-paid sims or cards. But they do have an unlimited data option.

The most I've ever used by myself in a month is 3.5 GB with the average for a month being a half a gig. As long as you guys aren't torrenting I would think that would be fine. Download some good ROMs for the car ride so no one is sitting there refreshing facebook over and over again. I'd be surprised if you got service in the hotel anyway, at least I couldn't on CDMA last year.

Worst case you would have to buy another one?

Looks like TMobile's coverage on the 94 to be shitty.
Sounds like I will have to pick up a ATT SIM and try that way.
