Re: Hearthstone - matter11 - 01-19-2015

Hearthstone is pay to win and I hate that, but I keep wanting to play...
They just charge so much for packs.

I'm just mad because I've only played a dozen or so games and my opponents keep having numerous legendary and epic cards.

Re: Hearthstone - copulatingduck - 01-19-2015

Start spending your gold on arenas instead of buying packs directly.  In arena it doesn't matter how much you've spent on the game, plus it is a much more efficient way to build your collection than buying packs directly with gold once you get good at it.  I've spent $0 on this game but I can run pretty much any constructed deck (even control warrior) from all of the packs/cards/gold/dust that I've earned from arena.

I think the arena is just more fun than constructed anyway.  In constructed you run into pretty much the same decks over and over again, whereas in arena you see completely different decks every time.

EDIT: Although I should mention that arena probably isn't as good for new players building their collection as it used to be since you can't get classic packs from arena right now.

Re: Hearthstone - Cineo - 01-20-2015

Would any of you guys be interested in a BRB-U fun night where we all get together and just play each other for fun (or possibly a mini tournament)?

Re: Hearthstone - Moosendoo - 01-20-2015

^Yeah, sounds like it'd be fun.

EDIT: Moosendoo#1427 if anyone wants to add me.

Re: Hearthstone - Cineo - 01-20-2015

Re: Hearthstone - JoKeRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR - 01-25-2015

Hello I'm always down for a fun and/or competitive game of hearthstone: jokerr#1252

I can also 'coach' in arena since this game is bullshit for making gold

Re: Hearthstone - Xineoph - 01-26-2015

I'm Zazzafraz#1504.  I spectate a lot.

Re: Hearthstone - Xineoph - 01-28-2015

Opened Neptulon last night.  Tempted to disenchant him, but such a splashy legendary.

Nope.  I also don't have some core legendary guys like ragnaros, sylvannas, cairne, dr. boom.  And there are some fun ones I'd like, such as Sneed's old shredder that I'd like to have.

Re: Hearthstone - Moosendoo - 02-22-2015

Sigh...  So close to the 12-0 dream! 11-0, then I ran into a hunter that barely beat me with some clutch draws at the end.  Finished 12-1.

Re: Hearthstone - Xineoph - 02-23-2015

That's a really nice deck.  I ran 4 arenas this weekend, with my best being 5-3.  Oh well.

Two truesilvers and 3 consecration? I hate you moose. Paladin is regarded really well in arena but I always get dicked in the draft. I usually do best with mage (obviously) and rogue.

Re: Hearthstone - Moosendoo - 02-24-2015

^the aldor peacekeepers did a lot of work too.

And wtf... make that two 12-1 runs in a row.  This time with a rogue deck.  Didn't expect to do that well with this one.  Only loss this time was to a shaman who had too many big threats.
