Re: - k0ala - 04-02-2014 I wanted it to be done more than I wanted to poke around inside a cranky old library tape player from the sixties. This guy modifies and/or restores Marshalls and when he posted his conversion of a 1940s Philco radio to hold a little guitar amp and speaker, I started messaging him for a quote. It's a bespoke amp. I told him to do his own thing with the circuit, just that it had to have a 3-prong cord, clean channel, and Blinkenlights. He said that he based the power amp around the Dumble dual overdrive. Three levels of negative feedback provide control over how much the power tube clips. One compact ECC83S tube is the preamp, and the singleton power amp tube at center stage is a 6V6GT. New Celestion 5" 25w speaker. The mic to the right of the fan controls the LED backlight, and it has a switch for lights on, off, or sound activated. External speaker jack will let me use it as a head for whatever speaker. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk Re: Happy Birthday k0ala! - rumbot - 04-04-2014 That's fucking awesome.
