Wii homebrew - matter11 - 06-20-2014

Has anyone homebrewed their wii?
I got the homebrew and usb loader programs installed but I don't know how to launch games off the hard drive or sd card.
I haven't been able to find usage tutorials, just installation tutorials online.

I did it on my old Wii (not a WiiU since I don't have a Wii U)

I never launched games off of a drive, but I did use homebrew for some freebie stuff. Something on my SD card got messed up though because it crashes every time I play brawl.

Re: Wii homebrew - Evil Cheese - 06-21-2014

At one my point my Wii's firmware got corrupted up by an update or something and I couldn't load up the system menu. It also caused the Wii to overheat a lot while it was on standby because it got stuck in WiiConnect24 mode. I could still play games and access the channels menu, but I couldn't change any system settings. In order to reinstall firmware that wasn't corrupted without shipping it off to Nintendo I had to use homebrew. That's about all of my experience with it.
