I got hardcore raped the game with tacos. The other team managed to syncronize their zombie attacks for great results. Like youd go to save someone from a hunter and get nailed by a smoker and the person saving you gets hit by a boomer.

Team work seems to be at least as important for the zombies as it is for the survivors. Unless one of the humans has strayed miles from the group, a single Smoker or Hunter is basically useless.

Yeah pretty much. If the survivors are smart and can stay and move together properly and are at least somewhat skilled, it's really hard for the infected to make progress. That can get muffed up when there is a witch on a required path point for infected to hide behind, or a tank is spawned, but that's just the random luck. However that requires everyone to have voice communication and to agree with eachother, which rarely happens.
Also sorry I didn't get in on 4v4 Versus last nite, plz host those more though.

From playing as the infected I know that the absolute best technique for the survivors is to move quickly and to stay very close together and always checking the locations of the rest of the team. When they are like this it is impossible to do anything against them unless you do a perfectly co-ordinated attack.

I was raised on expert, this game is now an extension of me, i can kill a tank in expert with one other person, i can reload the shotguns and mele at the same time, shit i can even mele a witch to death once its on fire.

Well for me I get into the mentality that the infected should be able to equally match the survivors. But the reality is that even against a mildly coherent team all you are for the most part is a slight hindrance. The timing and coordination required to be successful as infected is something that not a lot off people have got down. RPS likened versus mode to TF2, but I really don't see it as two equal opposing forces. Maybe it's due to the lack of coordination, but I just wish that the infected really would feel a bit stronger and a bit more equal with the survivors rather than a just an annoyance.Â

It's probably partly because the game only runs Normal difficulty on Versus by default. If it can be changed, it'd have to be done with server access I think. That and they need to make the Smoker's tounge actually usable for players.

I've only played Versus for about twenty minutes, but the thing that annoyed me most is how hard it is to pounce on someone as a hunter. I was surprised that the Boomer actually seemed to be the most fun to play.

You probably didn't know that a Hunter can continue to jump after the first jump without any recharge time. So yeah, hitting someone with a Hunter is easy.

First, sorry about today, my comp crashed hard and then the doorbell rang, the ole' double whammy. Sorry I missed out on the end of the VS. Campaign, was having a blast.
As Survivors, as was said before, you MUST stay tightly knotted and aware of each others conditions. This way you can quickly and easily melee off anything that attacks a teammate. Watch and see - as soon as just one person falls behind or surges ahead it all goes to shit - that person gets ambushed, then the person going to help him gets ambushed, and then Murphy's Law dictates that a Horde will attack just then, and suddenly things have gone to hell.
Dave is right (I won't comment on his claims of dominance
)- playing on Expert is the way to go. You get so used to being bum-rushed that you no longer fear it. As Infected, you have to coordinate attacks, and more importantly use the Horde and Witch to your advantage. Try to always time your attacks together and in coordination with those two. You're much more likely to do a lot of damage that way. Attacking Survivors knotted up is a death sentence. The Boomer is the key and needs to be played well. He summons the Horde and then everyone coordinates an ambush while some or all of them are blind.
There's my two cents on L4D. Always a blast in Versus mode.
