Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - Blues - 04-24-2009

To the people claiming you can't wreck shit with the bluts, you 1) suck at aiming the bluts, and/or 2) have never played against a medic who doesn't spaz. Those needles are 100% accurate if you can judge the arc/lead.

To atom, yeah, basically. I constantly find myself tearing up pyros, soldiers, other medics, and snipers long before they reach my team.

Scouts are undoubtably difficult, but 80% of them suck at actually doing more than going in a left to right pattern, or circle strafing (nulled by actually changing your mouse sensitivity past default) and are even more easily lead than the other classes.

Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - Wedge - 04-24-2009

Lol, Atom has barely even played TF2, so him bragging about his skills is pretty funny stuff.

And I rack up tons of kills with the blutsauger (I had twice as many as any other player back when the server tracked stats), but only against crappy players.  If you really insist that it's overpowered, then by all means I'll take a scout against you 1 on 1 and you'll see how amazing it is.  I'm not even that good a scout, but the worst a blutsauger does to me is make me back off because I can't get a good angle of attack in the middle of a battlefield.

(Writes down notes) Jump... over... medics...
Okay, got it. Thanks for the tips.

You realize I wrote half a post about 1v1ing scouts, right? Because you know, being a medic and all, it happens a lot. If a scout does what he's supposed to do and gets close to a medic from behind and pops him a couple times, yeah, he wins. If the medic sees him at any point prior to getting within a good shotty range, and I do most of the time because I'm a spaz watcher thanks to CS, 1v1 the scout goes down easy.

Heh, yeah, blut is overpowered bollocks Tongue  I've gone on amazing tears with the damn thing, defending points and killing half the enemy team.  If you can aim it with any degree of competence, yeah....

That only happens under situations in actual gameplay.  It can hold someone off killing you if they only have a few seconds to do so and not the best chance for it.  That's fine and not overpowered at all, that's what it should do.  Just 1 on 1 with nobody else there though, I wouldn't be afraid of losing to a medic at all.

Setting aside the ego-bruising power of your statement, that was part of my point. People bitching about the needle gun just don't know how to use it.

So anyways, like I said, if either of you want to try playing a medic against me as a scout, more than welcome.  Since you're both such pros with the amazingly overpowered weapon.

I've never had a problem with the blutsager. Incredibly useful weapon for getting medics out of tight situations.

Yeah I'm confused as to how that's the new bitch-on-the-steam-forums-needs-to-be-nerfed-clearly-not-bitching-at-your-own-incompetence weapon all of a sudden but all right, whatever.

It wasn't on the top of the list, remember, nerf cryers tend to have a list, the blutslager was probably like #4 or #5 after things like the bat, backburner, FaN, stickies....
