Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - Didzo - 12-17-2010

I'm gonna have to go ahead and predict that that thing will need to get nerfed.

Ladies and Gentlemen

I am a bear.

That is all.

Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - Maxon - 12-17-2010

These packs get less and less exciting when they keep the drop rates the same and then make it extremely hard to craft the items just cause they need to be able to keep their shitty store prices at the most ridiculous extremes.

Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - Vongore - 12-17-2010

So.. how do you get Christmas keys? Only buying them?

Uh-huh.

What? You thought VALV[sup]E[/sup] would be generous with those?

Except it only does direct hits and only holds 2 grenades at once and does 25% more self-damage for only a 10% increase in damage. I'll keep trying it out, but right now it doesn't really feel like it's worth using.

Won't 2 direct hits with the normal grenade launcher already kill just about anything? 4 shots and suppressive demospam seems hard to give up

yeah, it does around 110-120 a hit. but the trajectory is really flat, similar to nade launchers in other games, which is why i like it

So how's about that crossbow?

It''d be really awesome if it could headshot, but really the most I've seen a shot do was 70, and that was only at a pretty ridiculous distance. Mid range ones do like 40, and a pyro can usually run you down with how slow you shoot.

But it is super accurate, there's almost no falloff correction required.

It also heals teammates that you shoot with it.

It's really awesome that a friendly soldier w/ equalizer can run in front of your bolt and intercept it so its fucking wasted though.

Pretty ridiculous, yeah. Needles did about 5 damage back in my days and never hit their targets because spinned-up heavies could outrun them.

Who fucking cares if you can't headshot... I can't wait to try this thing.
