Oh god no. Summer only items for the scout. Not available through crafting, drop, of even crates...

WELL THERE GOES MY DREAM OF COLLECTING EVERY SCOUT ITEM.

What do you think is in the summer coolers?

Not the store-exclusive hats...

Because they were always supposed to be practice weapons that weren't meant to have any use in combat.  Plus it was just too much fun.  :'(  I really don't see how the equalizer taunt one was hurting anybody though.

Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - Grimthwacker - 07-02-2011

I've actually been finding the Winger to be a good backup for the stock Scattergun; the extra power allows you to quickly finish off any injured opponents in a pinch, especially if your scattergun runs dry.  Soda Popper & regular Pistol seem to be a good loadout thanks to the extra rounds you can fire with the mini-crit buff, at longer range.  For a game where people regularly complain about balance issues, there are plenty of creative ways to mix and match new weapons with stock ones for extra effectiveness without being too "OP".

You saw the graph 2 pages ago right? You can literally outdo the damage you do from the entire clip of a higher-attack winger with one extra pistol shot. It's literally no reason why anyone would use the winger rather than the pistol. Any thoughts you might get saying otherwise is just a placebo effect.

Is it just me or is blue server really laggy? I get fine ping but it still feels really laggy.  I only ask because it's actually been populated (with randoms) these last copule of days.

welcome to the difference between NFO (red) and gs.com (blue)

On the plus side, gs.com doesn't get DDOS'd every three days.

So does this mean anything other than DDOS will be less of an issue (if it is even still one at all)?

Yes and no, it depends on if they add more servers into the mix and how large the DDoS is

Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - KarthXLR - 07-03-2011

Honestly want your guys opinions on this: Why do you still find TF2 fun?

Even when I try my hardest to just lay back and enjoy the game I find myself getting frustrated at all the weapons and additions that keep getting crammed into the game. Please just give me an explanation of why.

Is that all? Like, do you still enjoy the gameplay's core mechanics? Because I love playing with you guys, just not TF2.

It's still a case of rock paper scissors, and the core mechanic has always been like that. New items are just seasoning in a stew, designed to enhance the flavor.
