Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - Chief - 09-22-2011

in tf2 beta
The Reserve Shooter can now be equipped by the Pyro and Soldier.
this isnt even fair, pyro is the crit class as it is anyway
paired with degreaser makes it 75% faster switch speed

just kill me now, valve

Pyro has needed a buff ever since they took away +50 health from backburner.

Yeah that's kinda broken, re: reserve shooter. Although "Unlike the Direct Hit, the mini-crits from the Reserve Shooter are awarded even if the enemy was not launched into the air by explosive damage" kinda made it inevitable. I wonder how they'll stack the weapon switch speed buffs though.

Valve will introduce ultra-crits so they can create a whole new tier of weapons. Mini-crits will become the new baseline damage, regular crits will become mini-crits.

This.  I now have even more incentive to practice pyro (I've decided to actually try to not suck at it)

We're sorry, your special Pro Shotgun "Press M1 to Win" needs 3000 more grains of Ultra-Gunpowder in order for you to have it for another 30 days. You can buy Ultra-Gunpowder in the Mann Co. Store. We take debit, Paypal, bottlecaps, or souls.

Don't say things like that, just play harder and develop new counter strategies.

Face it, this is what every game has to do. Unbalance it a little every month. Otherwise people figure out the limits of their unchanging weapons and ruin it for everyone else.
