Easy mode?

You as pyro vs me in any class save spy, and I'll show you just how 'easy' pyro is....

Reverse that and I'll still do the same.

And I don't need The Degreaser to do it either.

and if they put the pyro-having-reserveshooter in the actual game, i might stop playing.
Don't say things like that, just play harder and develop new counter strategies.
Face it, this is what every game has to do. Unbalance it a little every month. Otherwise people figure out the limits of their unchanging weapons and ruin it for everyone else.

I'm not saying that's not what they'd end up doing (arguably if they need to or not) but I'm still going to bitch about it because it's still horseshit. And yeah, I said that as a 'wtf are they thinking' rather than in seriousness. But you know, tf2 is serious stuff.

I like how you acknowledge that degre is clutch like that. You would probably still use the axetinguisher, too. I'm not saying pyro itself is easy mode, but it really rustles my jimmies when valve is just like 'ok lets tip the scales here and here derp'. Yeah, I get it though, everyone plays differently.

And no, I'm not going to stroke your tf2 ego. Whether you'd actually win or lose doesn't matter to me.

Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - AMCZombine - 09-25-2011

IMHO Pyro has both a high skill ceiling and a low skill floor.

You can get into it pretty easily, and there's still a lot to learn and improve.

To take the degreaser for example it widens that gap a bit to make it easier to perform one or 2 cookie cutter moves while simultaneously increasing the abilities you have and can practice. The faster weapon switch allows a skilled pyro to react better and improve reflexes to the point where they can react very quickly to a lot more situations, raising the skill ceiling. On the other hand it makes it a lot easier for any old person to hit q for a free near instant crit on anything that's not a pyro.

IMO You are probably arguing about 2 different things.

Also wtf does a 1V1 prove? It doesn't prove anything.

TLDR: Camping an engineer nest to keep spies away and push ubers around is way too easy for the reward it reaps, Taking out an enemy engineer nest is a lot harder. Noone will come to any conclusions trying to argue about 2 different pyros.

AND MY KEYBOARD

Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - backfire - 09-28-2011

So according to an item scheme leak, here's some stuff that might happen in the next big update.

Quote:New items include: Sniper Bandana Hair, Heavy Bandana Hair, Spy Disguised Hat, Heavy Lumberjack Hat, Demo Hendrix Hat, Engineer Hair, Engineer Blueprints (this?), Mighty Pirate, The Bootlegger (boots), The Scotland Shard (bottle), Bloody Bombs (glasses), Solder Sea Captain Hat, Pyro Sailor Hat, Heavy Gym Hair, Scout Hotdog Hat, Pyro Birdcage Hat (this?), Medic Stahlhelm Hat, Scout Backwards Cap, Sniper Necklace (necklace), Flair Buttons (equippable buttons), Medic Pocket Square, Medic Stethoscope, Spy Inspector Hat, Sniper Cork Hat, Pyro Flamenco Hat, Engineer Cranial Claw, Spy Specs, Scout 3D Glasses, Solder Cowboy Hat, Pyro Conscience (maybe this), Scout Provision Hat.

HiFive Taunt Enabler added, seems to be activated by holding down the taunt button for a few seconds.

The Pummeling Picket has "item_class": "saxxy" and "item_type_name": "TF_Weapon_Sign", and also has customizable textures. Can be used by every class except the Spy and Engineer.

The Bootlegger, Scotland Shard, Bloody Bombs, Mighty Pirate are part of the 'Swashbucklers Swag' set, probably this pack.

The Pocket Medic can now be equipped by the Soldier.

Also added are Photo Badge, ID Badge, Stampable Medal, which have a "can_customize_texture": true, attribute.

Customize Texture Tool is a new tool you can use to create custom textures.

An expiration date attribute was added, use unknown.

Christmas Key 2010 was added, which seems to be a placeholder for a new holiday key.

Athletic Supporter and Superfan made craftable.

The beta weapons were added, with beta names, which seems to be a mistake.
