They sold a million copies of L4D2 for 360 alone already, and they get some level of cut of everything they sell on Steam.  I think they're doing OK ;P.
Plus CSS, TF2 and L4D have barely ever left the top sellers list for like since i joined steam. They probably just need more to fill their pool of hundreds

I don't think their pool is in gold. That would be very unpleasant to dive into.

Excellent! My inventory is a couple of items short of being full.  I wonder if you lose items for good if you try to guess a recipe and fail...

At last, my terrible awesome aim will mean something!

Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - backfire - 12-15-2009

Smaller blast radius in rocket launchers? Sign me up.

And by me, I mean everyone else. I'd rather die by a precision hit then by some vague blast radius from a soldier who's aim is so crappy he can't hit a scout directly if he's standing still TAUNTING THE GUY I JUST KILLED WITH A BAT!

Oh, but one new weapon and comic with no video.

Sad panda is this one here. Sad

Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - Wedge - 12-15-2009

And with an 80% faster rocket, you will be dying with precision hits.  Soldier may finally be more practical at mid range now.  And all the pro TF2 players can stop bitching about never getting anything useful out of the updates.

Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - Vongore - 12-15-2009

jupdate goes up on Thursday night :>

Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - Evil Cheese - 12-15-2009

I think this new rocket launcher will be my main.

Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - JoKeRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR - 12-15-2009

So how good are you at hitting scouts with pipes? I'm used to the whole "if I get hit with one of those things I toast" deal, so as far as I'm concerned, it's basically the same thing. Even better, now the soldier can't just aim down and nearly kill everything but himself in a 5 meter radius.

Oh right, I forgot you normally play scout, with all the demo man garbage lately.  Yes the weapon is a tradeoff for making Scouts harder to kill.  Which is fine by me.  However it is likely a one hit kill on a scout at least, which the demo man doesn't have anymore.

Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - Eschatos - 12-15-2009

Fffffuuuuck.  50% fire resistance? Srsly? I guess I'll just be getting some more shotgun time.

Also, it does mini-crits on airborne targets, which is usually me. 25% more damage + mini-crit. Yeah, I better practice my ninja-esk turbo-rocket dodging skills.

Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - Wedge - 12-16-2009

I think with the increased damage, it will most likely one shot you in air or not.  25% damage increase means in the range of 120-130 on direct hit I think.  Airshots are probably somewhere in the 160-170 range =O.  This thing might totally grape Heavies now too =X.
