Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - zaneyard - 12-19-2009

uhh, rockets don't do damage to targed demos worth shit

Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - Maxon - 12-20-2009

Soldiers do like 20 to 40 damage with rockets against a Demo with Targe, even with DH.  And if you can somehow launch a demo into the air every time for a shotgun kill, then you deserve that kill, but I rarely see that lol

Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - Versus - 12-20-2009

or you could just use the shotgun against them in the first place

Or you could melee them. It's not that hard to kill a slow, 150hp class being retarded and running straight at you with a sword.

Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - zaneyard - 12-20-2009

cept they rush at you and crit wtih a long charge

Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - Dr.Killjoy - 12-20-2009

Both of their giant, stupid backs are still ripe for stabbing so I couldn't care less.

and end up completely missing cause they can barely turn

also Grenade Launcher > Equalizer

the only reason you think it is overpowered is because you don't know what "shooting" is

I've been killed by the equalizer maybe five times now? One or two shots with just about anything will take them down.

yeah but you're not playing melee demo

it is absolutely impossible to kill a solly as melee demo
[/quote]

learn to aim with the pipes stupid

from what i understand, you can turn at the end of the charge fairly well
and i don't think it's overpowered at all, just was commenting that demo went from the easiest to kill as a soldier, to one of the hardest

it's cause of the targe

pyros would have a tough time with them if they didnt have Axetinguisher

Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - beep beep diglett - 12-20-2009

targe is bugged and reduces shotty dmg by 50% too, so once thats fixed just shoot them and they die

Direct Hit crits when you are in the air, no matter waht. Even if the rocket hit the ground, it crits.

I hope they fix this.

Quote:Nobody can deny that, measured solely by their ability to blow people into chunky clouds of tomato soup, rockets are an incredible force for good in the world. But with their wide blast radius, they are not a particularly terrific weapon for showing off your sharpshooting skills.

Until now. A high precision version of the standard-issue rocket launcher, the Direct Hit has been engineered from the ground up for Soldiers who have mastered the art of shooting at their targets instead of vaguely near them. Those of you looking to deal splash damage, stop reading now: the Direct Hit has a 70% smaller blast radius than a traditional rocket launcher. But the rockets that come out of this thing move fast and hit hard: 80% faster and with 25% more destructive force. Best of all, for you real sharpshooters, the Direct Hit guarantees mini-crits on airborne targets.

It's a feature, not a bug.  They didn't say anything about how you get hit by it.

You use the word gay as a negative adjective.  Why is it so wrong to be gay?
