Re: L4D Maps - CaffeinePowered - 01-02-2009

Unfortunately due to the way the servers are set up, I don't think these or any other maps are going to get a lot of play

Re: L4D Maps - Wedge - 01-02-2009

It's true.  I've pretty much shelved L4D for now due to performance issues and such anyways.  Hopefully we get patches and shit soon this year.  It's not even installed right now.

I don't know how much is related to my connection, but everytime I tried to play, I would just freeze up for a bit every five seconds and it was totally unplayable.  TF2 is still relatively fine though.

General fixes in order of ease:
Turn off multicore support/threading/whatever the option is called
Turn sound quality to Medium
Run L4D, alt-tab, ctrl+alt+del, processes, right click Left4Dead.exe, set affinity, uncheck CPU0
Delete local content and reinstall

You shouldn't be able to make it through that list without fixing it. Also, if a fix doesn't work, revert it before going on to the next one. (i.e. turn sound quality back up before continuing to the core settings. Exception is multicore support, that one bugs a LOT of people so you might as well turn it off.)

Re: L4D Maps - Wedge - 01-04-2009

I would've bothered fixing it if I cared, but I really don't give a shit until it gets a proper patch that opens up the rest of the maps for VS and hopefully fixes a bunch of other stuff.

Re: L4D Maps - CorpseFactor - 01-09-2009

So we could not put these maps on the server and find it with the open server browser command?

Yama looks awesome!

So does Last Resort... But some parts on Last Resort look to much like the end of Death Toll
