Right when you said that I had a feeling I knew what it was, and I was right! That was pretty perfect. "You gonna shoot a guy in a 2,000 dollar suit? COME ON!"

Edit: The levels look like a mod. They better polish it way the Hell up.

Re: Left 4 Dead 2 - Honest - 06-01-2009

Won't buy this unless they seriously up the maps / gameplay. Pumping out sequels might work for the twats who buy every single Madden game, but (most) of us are well aware of when we're just shelling out 50 dollars for the same thing except more southern.

Re: Left 4 Dead 2 - zaneyard - 06-01-2009

I am indifferent about L4D2
it all depends on if it will run on my rig. The original hardly runs, i dont think the second one will
hopefully i can save up some money up for a rig by then.

Fixed.

Stupid

Re: Left 4 Dead 2 - Wedge - 06-01-2009

To be fair though, RPS got to actually play it, and their readthrough has me somewhat interested.  Particularly that they will hopefully be removing the stupid "hide here while a horde rushes you" segments, with having to run through areas with a shitton of stuff going on instead.  If finale sequences get ditched as well for something more agile, I will actually be interested.  I got bored of L4D eventually because too much of the game boiled down to camping and hiding in corners, and having fun and being effective were mutually exclusive of eachother.

Yeah, I hated hiding in closets.

Undestroyable sheetrock that even a tank cannot even dent, let alone puncture.
If they made the bed in the hospital scene punchable as a tank, it would go a long way to removing that spot.

More destructable eviroments would be awesome.  Not just doors and certain spots at like finale or events.  Couldn't think of anything scarier than knowing a tank could just bust through walls in a building, like how you can destroy walls in Bad Company and places are turned into swiss cheese XD

Re: Left 4 Dead 2 - cbre88x - 06-01-2009

I just don't want to pay 60 bucks for it. I paid $60 bucks for a game that I thought was going to be "it" for awhile. And less than a year later they pop a full sequel on me?

That's like a slap in my face as a consumer.

Re: Left 4 Dead 2 - backfire - 06-01-2009

What I'm hoping is that this is gunna be part of the new Yellow Box or something which would include Half-Life 2 Episode 2 and Portal 2.

Then again, completing two other games along with l4d2 and all the new tf2 content would be nothing short of a mircle of such proportions that it simply renders the "Valve Time" wiki entry obsolete.

Re: Left 4 Dead 2 - Loqutus - 06-01-2009

I'm sure Valve will give L4D owners a huge break on the price. I expect $59.99 360 version, $49.99 PC Version, $19.99 L4D owner PC version.

No problemo.

This better be it.

And seriously, if they don't announce anything besides this, I am going to be PISSED.
