FNF 8-12 - Go home and be an ideas man edition (Updated with maps!) - TOH - 08-11-2011

Going to try a couple things I haven't seen and get an old favorite not seen in a while here:

- tc_meridian_rc3 - One of my favorites, wish the TC game mode got some love

- koth_viaduct (stock) - One Heavy, Many Medics! - Each team will have one player randomly chosen by me to be a Heavy, and everyone else is a Medic! This match will never end.

- cp_crossroads_b4 - Spy vs. Spy! - All spies, all the time. Trust NOBODY.

- cp_coldfront (stock) - Pick-up Game! - For those unfamiliar, it's like picking dodgeball teams in gym class. We get two captains, they pick teams, and we duke it out on Coldfront.

I would not mind doing a pickup where u get chosen and the person who picked you gets to choose your class for you.

An interesting idea...but I think it'd be better if the OTHER captain chose the class. Though it's just normal pick-up here, since it's been a while.

Making a solid plan now.

Nice ideas, I'll try to implement them.

And to clarify the Heavy/Medic one, I only want the Heavy to be attacking the other team. So no ubersaw chaining or anything. Focus on healing and ubering your teammates if you're a medic.

For the heavy + medics idea, I'm thinking it might be good to split the team into two or three heavy-medic cells. It'll (marginally) reduce lag since there'll be one or two fewer medibeams, and will make getting charges faster which should make the game overall more interesting. Plus, the medics will still have something to do when one of the heavies dies.

Spy vs Spy was pretty interesting; however having an enforcer seems like a god damned necessity.

Yeah, my main concern was that the medics just wind up ubersaw-chaining a lot, so the heavy gets left out, defeating the purpose. The cell idea is interesting, though. Maybe I'll revisit it.
