New/Improved TF2 Longest Thread - Vongore - 09-09-2011

Along with backfire, i noticed too that we use the Update thread way too often as a TF2 social club, so I decided to create a thread where we can all share all comments that won't fit on other threads without context, about this terribad awesome game.

I'll start:

What do people find so awful about Barnblitz? I think we've played it like four times with a full server, and 2 of them were on release date. It's a nice fun map. Only problem is that it's usually a complete roll until the last point, where it turns on a sentry nest.

Also, cp_aqua-teans report.. I still like this map

personally I have a distaste for the map because of it's last point. I just don't like the format of the last room. It usually just ends up as engi turrets in strategic positions that get spammed from windows. Overall I just don't think it's very quality action when it gets there.

My question is why don't we play more koth maps during non-tf2/fnf nights. It's like a push map without stalemates.

I like it, up until the last point. It's a fairly open PL map with a lot of good spots to assault from. Reminds me of Thundermountan in that regard.

aqua was never good and now causes tf2 to crash

Yea I really love barnbiltz up til the final point. I mean hell you can even be having a complete steamroll, but you place a sentry or two at that last point and red pretty much has it completely locked down. A lil tweaking of that final point, maybe moving the upper right flank back a bit so the sentries are a little easier to take down and I'd be happy with it, but it's just waay too easy to sentry farm that map and completely block blu out.
