Worlds, and world naming suggestions - FlyingMongoose - 02-21-2013

I'm still working on getting everything set up, and testing some things in the back end. But what would you like the world names to be?

As stated before, we will probably run 3 worlds.
A normal survival world
A creative world with the same seed as the survival world (so we can build epic builds and put them in the normal survival world)
Superflat creative world (just for fucking around in)

I've also considered multiple worlds of the same seed with different difficulty settings.
However, on all worlds, creature block destruction will be disabled.

Here's what I have
Oddyssey - Survival
Atari/Amiga - Same seed as survival, but creative
Gemini/Jaguar (gemeni is most likely) - Superflat creative.

here are world name suggestions so far
Zodiac for survival
Lynx for survival-seeded creative
Nomad for flatworld.
Rochwater
Fallentol
Maplebriar
Sidsilia
Tallenclaw
Roseley
creative world name: Area34
Dak'kon
Morte
Ignus
Annah
Fall-From-Grace
Vhailor
Nordom

:3 I do miss the old server. Just never give me admin abilities if I play on your server.

Would you have a problem making sure your LazyRoad interface plugin works at least? I found it, but obviously not updated since 2 years ago Undecided

Sorry but I don't have dev rights on it. When I stopped playing I gave control over to some group that said they'd do that. I still get emails from the comments and some say it works and some say it doesn't.

Ah it's cool, I may just not use it. So back on topic for this thread. World name suggestions? And so you agree with the 3 world layout I suggested?

sigh.... I knew posing this as a public question would be a bad idea with this community. We might as well name the server "shitting dicknipples" too

Don't take it personally, BRBu just has a long, angry, filthy history with Minecraft, check the older threads for more info if you're curious. Also suggesting vulgar names for things is basically a 100% way to get us to go with them.

Re: Worlds, and world naming suggestions - FlyingMongoose - 02-21-2013

I know, I've been around this community since it's original inception (ask Caffeine, he knows). And I know the sorted history of minecraft server(s) within the community. But I'm no pushover when it comes to administration of game servers.

Even when it comes to adding administrators, there's a rule that I personally have kept in place for a few years now, and it has served me quite well.

Anyway. I would like some serious suggestions. Please.

Here's what I have
Oddyssey - Survival
Atari/Amiga - Same seed as survival, but creative
Gemini/Jaguar (gemeni is most likely) - Superflat creative.

Some great suggestions... I am thinking of running a vote and the top three get the names.

Some great ideas so far people, keep 'em coming. I'm hoping to get this thing launched wednesday or thursday. Be forwarned though I expect there to be bugs and/or issues including build bugs and premissions bugs/etc. But we will smooth them out as we go. If no one has any more input I will put up the official vote sometime today.

Re: Worlds, and world naming suggestions - at0m - 02-22-2013

Herped a derp and put my suggestions in the other thread, and would also like to reverse my first two. Lynx for survival, Zodiacfor survival-seeded creative, Nomad for flatworld

Re: Worlds, and world naming suggestions - FlyingMongoose - 02-22-2013

I update first post with each suggestion. Those are already there

Re: Worlds, and world naming suggestions - FlyingMongoose - 02-22-2013

suggestions closed. Votes are up. I'll try not to vote if I can so that the public can have their opinion heard first.
