The Ship - Sarin - 05-15-2008

The Ship I've seen some mention of people wanting to play this one here and was just wondering a few things.

I had a look at this game a while ago and it really seems to have a interesting premise and could be loads of fun if it actually works.

I'm just wondering if any of you guys have played it and if so how it plays and if there is ever anyone online to play it with, cause I can't imagine that there would be that many.

Cheers

Re: The Ship - ScottyGrayskull - 05-15-2008

I remember someone talking about how much potential it has, but the few servers that actually have the game typically treat it as straight up death match. So unless you're able to arrange a private organized game (like with us! ^_^) you're out of luck.

Re: The Ship - copulatingduck - 05-15-2008

A private match is definitely in the future. I believe Surf wanted to run it next week, but he is now going to be afk all of Monday. But it's definitely in the future  Big Grin

Re: The Ship - Surf314 - 05-15-2008

Yea I have to take a stupid damn class for my stupid damn job or I will lose my license, it's a bloody week long!  Like lasting all day 8:30 to 5 for a week  >Sad

Anyways I think NS is the perfect choice for Monday, I haven't played it yet but its got a lot of people interested here.

As far as the ship, the following monday we will play the HL1 version cuz its free.  If it is good enough and we have enough people who are interested we could try to work up a way to play the new $15 version with some regularity.  Or we could hope for a good weekend sale  ;D

Re: The Ship - Wedge - 05-15-2008

Well do note, Surf is wanting to have us play the original HL1 mod, whereas there is a sold HL2 mod version.  I have the HL2 mod one coz' I found a retail copy for $5, but I haven't really played it much.  I did play the original some, and it was incredible then even.

Re: The Ship - Eschatos - 05-15-2008

I might be interested in the newer version.

The Ship, for old times sake

I would possibly join in for this. I didn't get to play it all that much.

No please god no, the new ship sucks. It went from mystery murder to straight up murder.

Re: The Ship - Scary Womanizing Pig Mask - 03-28-2009

I'd be down for this.

Re: The Ship - zaneyard - 03-28-2009

id be interested, but if the gameplay got raped in an update like karth suggested then idk if its worth paying 17 bucks for.

Re: The Ship - KarthXLR - 03-28-2009

I still think the ship's gameplay has balance problems, but you all hate me, so learn to ignore my posts.

Re: The Ship - zaneyard - 03-28-2009

very contributory karth, im honestly asking your opinion

'You have already used a guest pass for this product'
'Because you have already accepted a guest pass for The Ship, you can't accept another one.'

Go on eBay, the boxed copy of the game got liquidated and you can get it for like $5 shipped. I think I paid $7 for mine.

Re: The Ship - Surf314 - 03-31-2009

This is one of those games that is an amazing concept and just missed it in execution.  I wish more people played around with concepts like this.

Outerlight is working on a sequel

Im not opposed to revisiting this once a month or so since a lot of people have it. Any more and the game gets old IMO
