Spaceships can now have shields, thanks science!

I posted a video in the music thread of Fuck Buttons - The Lisbon Maru (an awesome song BTW) but in looking it up to show someone I found out that the video wasn't actually related to the song but actually an anime short called CodeHunters that won some awards and was the inspiration (or rip off) for much of the art and feel of borderlands. Check it out:

That was pretty cool surf.

cool, your right it is Borderlandsy, but I'd drop the soldier for that bubblegum-c4 character.

I think this guy can call himself a Pokemon Master.

Tortilla, neither of those posts qualify as neat stuff.

One is a video of a guy screaming at the top of his lungs, and the other is a link to a politician's website.

The first guy is yelling at Republicans because they refused to vote for a bill that would give $7.4B to the responders of 9/11 who are sick and/or dying because of the attack. It failed because all but 12 Republicans voted against it, because they couldn't get their way on the Health Care bill and have been fucking everything up since. See, the Democrats put up the bill to vote in a way that would prevent Republicans from adding on anything extra to it (because god knows they'd fuck it up), but that meant they needed 2/3's majority instead of a simple majority. Since so few Republicans voted for it, it failed.
He's so passionate about it because most of those responders are in his district, and I think it's great because most people in Congress don't give a fuck about anything but getting reelected.

The second thing I really only wanted to link to one image but was too lazy.

Apparently dropping hints doesn't work around here.

Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - Surf314 - 08-03-2010

I think politics should stay segregated to the marginal threads (longest thread?) because we have enough political diversity here to turn most quality threads into a rage storm. Probably what Didzo was hinting at.

Probably.

I see Dtrain got around to making a political debate thread. Let's see how long it'll remain civilized for...

Unless I'm remembering things incorrectly, he got warned then left of his own volition.
