Typing really fast creates legit looking code, just like the movies!

see, that scares the shit outta me.

No, I'm not afraid of the ants themselves, but people wouldn't fucking do that to save anyone. That's not only intelligent but wise, and god knows we've been losing that.

My favorite part is that it includes the comments.

"I need to hack this Visual Basic GUI in ten seconds, but that's no excuse for poor software development."

Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - Kirby - 04-28-2011

Checking my Apache logs for anything amiss, notice this from last night;

Quote:24.18.47.xx - - [27/Apr/2011:21:52:40 -0400] "GET /fastdl/tf2/maps/pl_cashworks_rc2.bsp.bz2 HTTP/1.1" 200 2720792
24.18.47.xx - - [27/Apr/2011:21:53:10 -0400] "GET /fastdl/tf2/maps/pl_cashworks_rc2.bsp HTTP/1.1" 404 3102

Client requests pl_cashworks_rc2.bsp.bz2, accepts and downloads entire zip of map in about 30 seconds, their TF2 client then requests pl_cashworks_rc2.bsp regardless of the fact it already got the zipped version.

WTF valve, seriously. I went from spending under $10 a month for the fast DL box to $35 to allieveate the community's concerns that it might, in fact, be the download server and not TF2 being retarded, and you still haven't fixed it, a year later?

Before I post this, I just want to say:  This is not the FIRST time I have posted this image.  In fact, I made it just to post on BRBU, 3 years ago.  How something so contextually specific has come full circle is beyond me.

[Image: fire-ant-raft.jpg]

Now, since I'm feeling nostalgic; eat a bowl of dicks.

I mean, this is like the first image in my photobucket... these things aren't supposed to get reused.  It's been sitting there for years waiting for context, you're not supposed to get to post these things twice.

I agree with you fully. Humanity is going to fail due to its failure to adhere to the basic principles of morality: Having hydrophobic exoskeletons, low mass, and a hive-mind.

Even better is now that one URL was posted with my server's IP address in it, I'm getting slammed every other minute with like 500 bad HTTP requests from all over the world, vulnerability scanners.

I just blocked a pair of CIDR ranges from both Verizon* and RoadRunner*, as well as every CIDR range owned by ThePlanet, Rackspace, FDCServers and like 4 or 5 other smaller colo company owned blocks, in addition to every IP address in both China and Russia.

I wonder what kind of CPU overhead this is going to add....

* If you have either Verizon or Roadrunner for an ISP and suddenly can't access http://kirby420.com or Mumble - then you're within the blocked subnets. PM me your IP address and I can white-list you in the firewall above the CIDR blocks.
