I see giant dudes in armor with guns. Is this game worth buying?
My sources say MP is where the fun is, but that it's not worth full price just yet. And yeah, I intend to try the demo as well.
Demo is tons of stupid fun, but yeah, doesn't quite feel like something I'm willing to pump full price into.  Probably once it reaches around 30 or so I'll pick it up.

I bought it because I bought the two DoW2 xpacs on sale and was like ok I am obligated to get Space Marine now.

I loved the fuck out of the demo, needed more in the jetpack level though.

Jetpack sections are interspersed throughout the game to break up the pace. There's also a pretty awesome flying sequence with you on a turret. And one of the classes in multiplayer is Assault/Raptor for Space Marines and Chaos respectively, which means jetpacks in multiplayer fyea. Multiplayer needs to be patched though, lag is pretty bad right now, being where the melee hits that get you killed don't connect. At least it doesn't straight up lie to you like CoD's killcam does, where what it shows happen in the killcam isn't what happened when you actually died. I want GGPO for all small player games (16 and below) if you aren't going to have dedicated server support. (GGPO is a P2P netcode service that uses rollback effectively, rolling back pretty much invisibly so that when the button you pressed, actually comes out at the time it was pressed unless it's a really bad connection where you can see the rollback actually happening, and while mainly designed for fighting games, the developer has repeatedly stated in IRC that it can be used for any game with up to 16 players as long as the developers using it aren't lazy and actually implement it into the game properly. It would actually probably work better with shooters as the amount of inputs per person is nothing compared to the inputs of 2 people in a fighting game, probably more buttons being pushed in a fighting game than in a game of hardcore free-for-all with 16 people on the one really small map in cod4)

I was bored today and decided to brush up on some Roman mythology.

Turns out not only is the article on Janus quite well written and researched,  Janus himself is pretty awesome

I believe he invests them in a diverse karma portfolio of stocks and bonds. He seems to be doing quite well despite the slumped market.
