UW biochemist Karl Paul Link discovered the anticoagulant called warfarin, in which the 'warf' apparently stands for wisconsin alumni research foundation. Link brought in millions of dollars to the school from his discovery at the time. Joe McCarthy was the senator during this time and was on the hunt for all communists. So of course, KP Link took it upon himself to become the advisor for the young communists group on campus since he knew he couldn't be fired since he brought the university so much money.

The Flaming Lips, have released a 24-hour-long song. It's being sold through chrome-covered human skulls (real human skulls). The skulls are being sold for $5000 each.

You can listen to the whole song here.
