I'm amazed that you picked up on that connection.

An oldie I like to look at from time to time.

Makes me wish I was a more inspired artist and a more motivated coder.

Nuke map

pick your city and size of nuke and it tells you how far the damage would spread and to what degree.

If Tsar Bomba hit Offut AFB, I'd be proper fucked.

It's good to know that if the North Koreans nuked UF's student union I'd be unscathed at home.  Anything bigger and I'd be fucked.

If any nuclear device goes off in downtown DC during business hours, I'm fucked proper

maybe all the politicians dying would be good :/

your death would be mourned though, I'd drop a pie on the curb for my homie.

Closest terrorist target from here would be ft. Leonard Wood. Even using the most powerful nuke, I only get 3rd degree burns and cancer.  8)

Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - Kirby - 02-25-2012

It would take a 7.6Mt nuke at the (now decommissioned) Brunswick Naval Air Station to get me even into the thermal radius.

Even more likely a military target is the shipyards up in Bath considering we (General Dynamics) recently scored the contract to do the vast majority of the work on the US' newest Arleigh Burke class orders, and I'm not even sweating with a 15Mt spitwad.

Geee, I guess I am lucky that I don't have to worry about nuclear payloads....
Conventional is still a problem for me. At least I'll have the earliest warning. Tongue

I'm within about 5Mt if one goes off in Brunswick. From Bath it's about 10.5Mt before my skin melts off.

Oh, no need for a high powered one to be able to kill insects. I watched a video of some guy harassing a spider with a red laser pointer and it eventually died. But I guess if you want to kill it with one hit then a green one might work better? (It'll be pretty dangerous though..having it potentially reflect off a surface and into your eyes)

would a little 5mw be enough to take down a mosquito or moth mid flight? also spiders.
