I don't think anyone really noticed it, until Hans Zimmer himself talked about it back in this interview.

"Zimmer, however, said he talked Nolan into keeping the song in the film, arguing that audiences would not be distracted by the connection. Pieces of Piaf’s interpretation of the song were stretched, manipulated and woven into Zimmer’s score."
How right he was with that prediction, I doubt anyone actually noticed the connection when they watched in theaters.

and Hans Zimmer will always be the best modern day composer in my opinion (The Lion King, Rain Man, Pirates of the Caribbean etc etc)

Amusing that they talk about having to teach people to use BitTorrent, it totally hadn't occurred to me that in the days before youtube, that was one of the only ways to widely distribute bandwidth-intensive stuff like that for free.

AND THEY WERE SO FUCKING SLOW CHRIST

This is something I know about because it was dealt with a lot in antitrust. These companies are using ink cartridges to do discriminatory pricing. They sell the printers for near cost or below cost to get the maximum amount of customers, then they overcharge on ink to make you pay based on how much you need to print things. This got challenged because this model relies on making sure you buy their ink, so they use patents and other things to keep anyone else from making cartridges for their printers. The courts ultimately decided that this was fair, because any customer can check out the ink prices and find out they can only buy ink from the company they are buying the printer from. In other words there is no trickery going on. Plus this practice is allowing more people to have access to printers because they are cheaper. People at the bottom just have to make sure they print less.

Also that video was awesome Rummy.

Moreso the satisfied grin of owning a $45 Samsung laser that I refill with cheap bulk xerox toner.

Supposedly the pointers were low-power and couldn't damage the human eye.
