If you've ever heard the Cat Video (this link doesn't really do it justice) song from one of the Blue Man Group albums, it uses some of those 3D sounds techniques. It's really trippy if you listen to it in the dark.

China or Vietnam? He has it reading Japanese, so I guess that's where he's from, but that's certainly not a Japanese name. The fact it can read is pretty damn cool and do object recognition is pretty cool. It has a main website which has of course completely exploded now.
