EXCEPT WITH WAR REPLACED WITH NXE(New Xbox Experience).

Seriously, just think of the conversation they probably had.
"So what should we do for the Xbox now?"
"Well, the big thing on... that interweb... series of tubes..."
"Internet?"
"Yeah, internet. People are making "Miis" of famous people online. So it's obviously big."
"Yeah I noticed... OH, I SEE WHERE YOU'RE GOING."
"MHMM. Let's just listen to some complaints of people that want more stuff for the Miis, take it, and add it to the Xbox!"
"YOU ARE A GENIUS."

However, that sad fad is over now. And it would have been easier to make Gamer Pictures available for anything rather than forcing people to buy useless things. Seriously.

Although, I must admit, it is sleeker. But it's harder to find stuff now almost. I liked the old design. D:

They have a section called "My XBox" ?  Thread over indeed.

I actually like the layout. The dashboard itself is less useful, but from what I've seen the marketplace is a lot more user friendly. The guide button menu is less obtrusive and has a lot more stuff in it as well. Plus, the whole thing is definitely a lot faster, which is awesome. Smile

The xbox update is like the gayest thing ever, I can't believe you don't have the option to not update...I seriously don't want to connect mine to the internet now.

Yeah, something that works much more efficiently, has all the information contained within a very well designed menu easily accessed at any time via the guide button, has a much better organized marketplace interface, and where the pointless things (or which there admittedly are many) are easily ignorable... is "like the gayest thing ever". Tongue

Wat? This is not more efficient, and I dunno about anyone else, but it seems a helluva lot slower than the old interface. Whenever I pull it up from in-game, it takes a few seconds to come up, as opposed to popping up after a short delay.

Re: *cue "War, What is it Good For" song* - zaneyard - 11-23-2008

honestly it has been faster for me
the original guide sucked big black donkey cocks

Weird. :-\ I've definitely found it faster, and just about everyone else I've heard talk about it has said the same thing.

The blades were plenty fast and very easy to navigate. All this shit does is give more space for ADs, makes it look like windows media center (which looks like shit and takes up unnecessary system resources).

The Mii rip offs are just the icing on the fucking cake, did you honestly need it? We all thought the Miis were cool, like 2 years ago, then they faded into obscurity and we stopped giving a shit. Do you really need to blatantly copy Nintendo this late in the game.

Parents who think that the Xbox is to play more mature games does, and that's why Microsoft did it :3

But you can make an avatar in less than a minute, then completely ignore it forever. Sure it's a waste, but it's a waste that some people will like and the rest of us can easily ignore.

And blades weren't fast, especially if you hit the guide button in-game (which is the menu system I'm mostly referring to).

Personally I enjoyed the Mii's if for nothing else than the shits and giggles than ensue when you see what friends have come up with for their own personal avatars.

I liked them for about 10 minutes until I realized that my douchebaggy little brother would delete mine every chance he got.
