i have a .gbc file and my r4 cant read them apparently, is there any software for this?
or is my DS stuck to DS games?

DS can not emulate GBA games with software. This means you have to get a slot-2 solution; a hardware emulator. Google "EZ-Flash 3in1" and enjoy every GBA game, extra ram for homebrew, and an adjustable rumble pack.
