I have almost 200 ping while playing TF2 with you on a dedicated server (aka a server with high speed internet) now what would happen if i sudently want to play MW2 with Karth.... i would have >500 ping on a crappy connection D:. And the only solution IW has said about this is "go play with people from your country".... Really funny if you have in mind i've seen at least 2 or 3 Chilean TF2 players besides me...Chile is a console country :< (understandable, taking in mind the price of video cards here)

I don't give a crap about MW2, but there must be someone who wants to play it and isn't from the US

sad

I dunno, but seeing this makes me feel warm and appreciated inside... I <3 EA.

WTF Indeed....

EA seems to be doing things right finally, I'm scared.

Honestly I hear the game from a lot of people who decided to purchase it for the PC really isn't bad at all.  Hardly any lag, etc.  It's still matchmaking, it's still other dumb shit like that but the gameplay itself is apparently just as good if not better than CoD4, even on PC.

Yeah I've seen that, and from what people tell me that almost never happens.

Still won't pick it up, $10 extra is lame as hell and CSS style hyper-arcady-but-pretending-not-to-be-BS gameplay doesn't appeal to me at all.

It's pretty much an expansion pack that's too pricy imo.
A tournament "balancing" pack.

Just finished MW2.... Made me remember how well Infinity Ward can make a story... The campaign was one of the best linear games I've ever played.  Kept me interested, on the edge of my seat, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

MW1's story is like the worst possible story to ever have a continuation, but MW2 definitely left me feeling satisfied.  However, this time Infinity Ward thought ahead and made it so there will be room for a MW3 with a bit of an open ending.

Haven't done much in multiplayer; played a few games and from what I can tell there are a lot of new perks and mechanics that will make the game stay fresh for a very long time.

Sucks for people without a console, because this is definitely a game you don't want to miss.

I'm really glad I got this game over Halo 3:ODST.  Fucking Bungie.

Akimbo Double Barrel Shotgun.  Most powerful close range weapon I think lol Instant kill, even with the painkiller death perk lol Sure you only get about 5 to 8 feet of range, but when your storming a building, that's all you need lol

I played through many many campaigns, so far I'm really pleased with the story. Story mode is totally worth my time

*Spoilers*
It's thought provoking. It's not Bioshock: symbolism and literary references. It's all in your face force fed actions that FORCE you (if you're American) to question "what if that really did happen here". I mean really? The U.S. hasn't had a massive attack or battle on mainland soil since 1856. The airport section was enough, but when I was in the suburbs fighting Russians from house to house..and then fighting inside the fucking White House..it made me think for a second.

Quote:“It’s not cast in stone yet, but at this point no, we don’t think we will have dedicated servers,” he [Carmack] says.

Infinity Ward made the same decision for “Modern Warfare 2” and has been facing a massive backlash among its fans. The inevitable online petition has gathered over 183,000 signatures and even the developer has acknowledged the backlash.

“Modern Warfare 2” will use a matchmaking setup powered by IWNET for online play. It’s too early to say what Rage will use, but Carmack indicated he believed the servers are something of a remnant of the early days of PC gaming.

That said, he realizes the affinity many PC gamers have for them – and is glad “Rage” won’t be leading the charge away from them.

“The great thing is we won’t have to be a pioneer on that,” he says. “We’ll see how it works out for everyone else.”

it's the beginning of the end for PC gaming and we have no one but IW to blame

If it bombs on PC, he likely won't do it
