So, Broken Steel...
At the time of this post, it comes out tomorrow...

Reactions? Comments?
Anyone ready to kick some Enclave ass?

Will Bethesda botch this release like they did with The Pitt?

I'm not grabbing it right away, so any bugs will be fixed by the time I pick it up, heh.  I'm really wanting it, though I have to beat the game in my new version to make full use of the expansion.

Comes out tommorrow what?  Oh shi-

I'd be interested in knowing how it's like though I'll never get it.  I don't mind DLC you pay for but really in the end I'm like eschatos... I probibly won't get it unless it's free.  Hell I never got Knights of the Nine or Shivering Isles (the latter I hear is rather good).

Also it doesn't help that my urge to play an open ended RPG is being surpressed by Morrowind now, I don't have enough interest in the brown american settlement-covered world that is the DC Wasteland to want to jump in it again  :-\

But... Fallout 3 has something that Morrowind doesn't!  GIANT ROBOTS.

I normally agree with you. The shit they charge people for these days, but this is really the only kind of acceptable DLC for more; an expansion pack that you download. The trailer for this looked pretty swell actually. I'll probably end up waiting for it to go down in price though (Does DLC go down in price)?

I say that if they want to make extra money, they should make something big and full of content that justifies its own expansion.  Shivering Isles was great, and if this was the same length I would happily pay.

Considering that the actual game is still buggy as who-knows-what and that the Operation Anchorage was NOT worth it, I'm vouching to stay away from this one.

Anchorage certainly wasn't, but I really liked The Pitt.  The problem with Anchorage was that it was just a computer simulation and you were forced to follow a linear plot with zero of your weapons or items or anything extra.  The Pitt had new weapons, something that worked with an actual plot where you had to make choices, and it was actually challenging at a few parts.

Exactly. I thought Anchorage was pretty much a waste of money. It even glitched apon loading which made me skip a good portion of the second mission (skipping my achivement). The Pitt was great though. I loved the general atmosphere of the place and the choises you were forced to make.

Since I reached the level cap (and I'm not to big on using a mod to increase it) I'll pick up Broken Steel eventually, but probably not for a week or so.

Probably for the best in case there are any game breaking bugs.

Let me rephrase my statement.

I will never pay for anything on Windows Live EVER AGAIN. Possibly the worst online system I've dealt with.

Anchorage was alright...  at least you got some idea as to what happened before the Great War, and some of the items you got at the end were good,  Like the Gauss rifle and Chinese Stealth armor.  The Pitt was pretty good, the Auto Axe and the Infiltrator were awesome.  But Broken Steel? It looks pretty dang good.  I beat the game already, and i'm looking forward to this new content.

For some reason, Karth, I didn't have any problems with Games for Windows Live.

I might pick up the PC version of so I can get this DLC. Began playing the PS3 version again recently and I'm having fun. The DLC honestly looks better than the original game.

Don't really see how people have trouble with it. Puchase and installation for me was easy, unless there's some huge bug that only effects XP machines or something.
Actually, I'm more curious how people not only hate, but go out of their way to avoid GfWL games. I'm actually like the idea of linking a PC game with my Live account, earning achivements and whatnot.

I didn't realize that any of the DLC had been released yet. What is the distribution system for the PC?
