You keep using that word.
Ahead means before dude. If something's ahead of something else, the one that's ahead arrives first. As in before. And there aren't any links to time in P1, so who's to say that 100 years after P1 (if thats when P2 is set) isn't in Ep2/3's timeframe? This thread is about Portal, not about your infirm grasp on the English language. I was trying to make sense of your nonsense, but you'd rather find the one example on that page that confirms your interpretation. How about you act like someone who has at least some communication skill and just find some other words to use that are less ambiguous? Hrm? [/quote] I wasn't the one who made the original post; Maxon is. I was simply pointing out that it can be used either way. Regardless, I agree that it's silly to get into grammar arguments on the Internet, so let's all move on. This is where I would post my impressions of the Portal 2 preview stuff, but I've been intentionally avoiding any news about the game lately because I want it to be a surprise. Of course, it's not coming out until February, so I doubt I'll be able to avoid any info for that long, but I'm at least going to try.

I'll make sure my posts are a little more clear when tired b)
And I'm probably gonna ignore what I can from Portal aside from the initial trailer I saw too. If it's another shorter game, I don't want to expose myself too much to it. Make it so I can savor the release more when the game does come out next year. |

Portal 1 takes place around a time when Black Mesa was competitive with Aperture Science. That means the later 20th century. Half-Life 2 and its episodes take place at most 10 to 20 years after HL1, when we can suppose Portal 1 takes place. Therefore Portal 2 most certainly takes place later than Episode 3, unless Gordon takes a very, very slow 100 year teleport... Feeling generous? Here is the whole video. It also has some stuff about the L4D DLC. When I first saw the coop trailer I didn't like how human the robots were acting, but his explanation as to why the robots act that way was absolutely perfect and now the characters make perfect sense. Good show.

I wounder about the l4d comic if it'll cost something or be like the TF2 comics, heck it'd be nice if they did a portal comic like that as well.. @3@ even half-life like Gorden being interviewed for the job at black mesa & advertisement from Aperture with "on the field" training ;D
