Animal Man #2 was really random, but i love the narration and art style and i really like where this is going.
Detective Comics #2 was weird, but still fun. Action Comics #2 Was awesome. Justice League International #2 was....uuuuh... i dunno... they're raping my favorite characters :/. Booster isn't macho unless he's got an excuse to do so, and even if he IS macho, he always used to have that "fish outside the bowl" feeling. Now even Batman says he's a good leader.. i'm not okay with that. Also, Final Crisis was entertaining, i can get that people couldn't enjoy it because of the insane references and required backstory it needed. Also, the Tie-ins had never been as necesary as they were on this saga, and most of them were a pain in the ass. But if you knew your comics, you could enjoy a nice story with Kirby's most iconic characters. But yeah, is tas kinda boring too |

When I was picking up Animal Man #3(which is awesome btw) the guy there recommended me Joe the Barbarian. He described it as a story about a hypoglycemic kid who has an epic hallucinogenic journey through his own home just to get a soda downstairs. Don't know how accurate this description is but after reading the first issue I definately want more.

This is a webcomic but whatever, deal with the necro-bump.
http://falsepositivecomic.com/ Short stories, all bizarre in some way. |

I've been reading quite a few of the new Marvel comics on my kindle lately and have been loving it. I just read Superior Spiderman 1-5 and although it's really weird at first and goofy, 4&5 with Massacre were fantastic. Also the Indestructible Hulk is really cool.
Does anyone have any oneshots or mini series that they'd recommend to me? other than Batman I've really only read marvel ones. |

[/quote] Y isn't a one-shot or a min-series. Battle Pope is a good min-series, as is Old Man Logan (Villians take over world, Wolverine stops being Wolverine, Hulk is bad guy who nails his cousin) |

For one-shots, I like the "What-if" and "Elseworlds" series that Marvel and DC have. |

Because now I have to patiently wait for the rest of the story instead of being blissfully unaware of how good it is. I usually wait until a series is complete, or at least has a couple dozen issues out, before I start reading it.

Oh goddamn The Manhatten Projects is sick. Sex is pretty good too but is definitely different. It's about a superhero after he's retired and I guess kind of deals with the "addiction" aspect of it (hence the title) but there's only 2 issues out right now so the story hasn't really gone anywhere yet.
Image is killing it. |
