Gotta bump this, been going hard since I got this a month ago. If any of you haven't played in a while, there was a huge patch on April 15th that revamped a bunch of stuff (https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/r...ure-packs/).

First MMORPG I hit max level, woot. The original GW was easily my favorite MMO back when it was fresh, I'm really glad to see the sequel isn't stale or a pure WoW-clone.

It's so liberating... not really any set areas you're supposed to be in, no raw grinding mobs for exp... I hit 80 so much faster than I thought I would just because exploring is actually viable for leveling.

And I found out that my dad's been playing since beta (he's been playing GW longer than me... actually bought me my account in the original lol), so that's kinda cool since I haven't seen him in a few years (he's in the UK, but plays on a NA server somehow o.O). No better way to bond with your old man than running some dungeons, haha.

Looks like they're starting season 2 out with a bang. Whole new area, and new episode format. How it'll work now is as long as you sign in during the two weeks the episode is live, you get the episode free and can replay it whenever you want on any character. If you missed an episode, you can pay a small ingame fee to buy any previous episode. After you finish an episode, you'll unlock some achievements and which from, from what they say, will be difficult and rewarding.

Looking forward to seeing what they learned from the whole Scarlet's Quest deal. Also wondering how these instances episodes will work in conjunction with any open world content. Just one more week til it goes live.

Yeah, more than likely. Gonna be visiting my dad for two weeks on the 4th, so I can't imagine I won't be playing while I'm over there.

There's only three level 80 areas at the moment. There's Frostgorge Sound north of Wayfarer Foothills (Norn starting area), Cursed Shores in the south-west corner of Orr, and Dry Top just west of Brisban Wildlands. Dry Top's where all the action's happening right now, and you can get there in the lower west corner of Brisban. Poke me on steam if you need help finding it.
