How to Host - What Ports you need to forward on your router

Online Guide w/Friends:
1) Go to MyDocuments/My Games/Borderlands/Config/EngineConfig
- Find EnableVsync - Set this to 'true'
- Find the In game voice variable - set this to 'false'

2) Organize on Steam - Message Who you want to play

3) Hit up VENTRILO

Pros:
- Great Art Direction And Design
- Actually Fun
- Well done Hybrid FPS/RPG system
- Very well done net code, easy to host a listenserver game with friends

Cons:
- No Steam Integration, have to use Gamespy
- Have to edit config files for some video options
- In Game Voice Blows-chunks
- Siren is broken in the bad kind of way

For the $34 if you got in on a 4-pack it was a huge steal IMO, and I would recommend it to any of you who did not purchase it to get on the ball.

She isn't getting the melee boost when coming out of stealth

I thought that only happened if you got the last "assassin" upgrade anyways which is rather high level right?

All her other stuff is very nice regardless.

You're supposed to get more of a boost, especially when you come out of or go into phase-walk, there's other skills that can boost this damage/stun, but iirc they were saying the bug was found like a few days before release, Id have to confirm as to whether or not they fixed it.

To host you need to a) forward port 7777 for UDP and TCP b) host private game (friends only) c) once you are in, invite people from your friends list by hitting escape to get the menu. 

Just make sure you add everyone in this thread to your friends list and get on vent to organize a game.

Some other codes that are helpfull.

Disable Intro Movies

Open:

Code:

\Steam\steamapps\common\borderlands\WillowGame\Movies

Delete:

2K_logo.bik, Gearbox_logo.bik and NVidia.bik

This will make it so you don't have to sit through the intro movies.

Adjusting the FOV

Open:

Code:

IMPORTANT Find this section in the code:

BELOW IT! IN THE SECTION WITH ALL THE OTHER BINDINGS. Put in.

Bindings=(Name="F11",Command="FOV 95",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False)

You have to bind it to a key since every time you die (or possibly load a new area) your FOV resets. On this the key will be F11. I find that 95 looks good on 16:9 (22 inch) 90 is usually the standard while 100 should look good on 16:10 (23 inch)

Toggle Aim

Find Under The "[Engine.PlayerInput]" Section:
