Nope. If you need to figure out how to move around they have "Flight School" servers where there's no damage and you can learn how to navigate. Otherwise just look at the controls and copy what you see other people do. It's a pretty simplistic game at the moment.

I'm pretty interested in this game, but I've heard that it doesn't offer much longevity. Also the system requirements look really steep.

Yeah, it seems super complicated at first, but it's pretty simple once you get the hang of it.  It's a lot of plain fun, but there aren't too many people playing all the time though.
