if you ever point tank and pop a ranged shield, melee is definitely the way to go.

Yea seems like another thing for the older players to blow their tokens on. But honestly how many would you need? I would only want one for my medic and one for my recon, maybe one for my robo. Damn that's a perfect weapon.

Says in the patch notes you can change profiles anywhere you can change equipment. That means you can switch in-mission, which is a HUGE advantage. Hence the expense.

instanced combat killed it. You can't group with your friends in the same match because it's not allowed, you end up with random teammates all the time, and the 'corp' combat is ridiculous because of the rules-abuse that occurs. You end up sitting around as a warm body and not playing in any matches for hours on end because of the bidding system.
